Red Bull UK is currently recruiting for a Category Intern to be based across the UK. This is a paid 12 Month internship. You must be completing a Placement Year as part of your university course or within two years of completing your degree. The internship runs from the 6th July 2026 to July 2027. You must be available for the whole duration of the programme. The role will close on Monday 30th March at 10am.
The purpose of the Category Management Industry Placement role is to work alongside the Tesco and One Stop category manager to support the retailers with understanding and development ideas of the Soft Drinks category through data analysis and insight generation. The role focuses on providing unbiased, evidence-based insights of customer behaviour, category trends, and product performance, helping to inform balanced decision-making. The placement gives the candidate practical experience in analytical, organisational, and stakeholder-collaboration skills both internally and externally.

Job DescriptionSupport the Category Management Team
Assist in data analysis and generating insights to guide decision-making for the retailer. This involves working with sales data, retailer loyalty card data and market trends to ensure effective category performance.
Dashboard Maintenance and KPI Tracking
Help to regularly update performance dashboards, ensuring they reflect the latest sales, market share, and category performance metrics. Regularly track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of category initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
Market, Customer, and Competitor Trend Monitoring
Analyse and monitor industry trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities or potential threats to the category. This includes staying up to date with market changes and providing timely insights both internally and to the retailer.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with teams from Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Field Operations to support the execution of category strategies, helping to ensure alignment across different departments for successful category execution.
Contribute to Range Reviews and Brand Planning
Assist in the preparation and presentation of range reviews and brand plans by providing data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize category growth within the retailer.
Develop Analytical, Commercial, and Stakeholder-Management Skills
Through hands-on involvement in projects, gain valuable exposure to business decision-making processes, allowing you to build strong commercial and analytical expertise. Additionally, develop stakeholder-management skills by interacting with internal teams and potentially external partners, gaining insight into how to communicate effectively with diverse business functions.
Currently studying a degree and seeking a placement or internship as part of your studies or within 2 years of completing your degree.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail ensures accuracy in reports, data analysis, and presentations.
A genuine passion for working with data and turning it into actionable insights.
