Job Description
We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Category Development & Trade Marketing Manager to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. This role in the Away From Home business will be responsible for generating and capturing opportunities with the National Wholesalers and Cash & Carry within our Route-to-Market channel.
This role will execute an even blend of Category Development responsibilities - such as providing range, display and RGM strategies externally; and Trade Marketing responsibilities - such as providing category-driving brand activations and B2B initiatives aimed at independent operators. This role requires a customer-centric mindset, strong analytical skill, and an ability to influence stakeholders through data-to-insight. We expect significant time spent externally with our wholesale customers - understanding their business, category dynamics, and customers. This is counter-balanced with an even blend of internal responsibilities, related to strategy creation and stakeholder management.
What you'll do:
  • Cat Dev: Be the 'trusted advisor' and lead category insights for our customers. Primary customer focus on Bidfood, Booker and Brakes, with secondary focus on the major Buying Groups in Regional Wholesale.
  • Trade Marketing: Be the conduit between core Brand plans (local and global) and RTM trade marketing plans.
  • Trade Marketing: Build materials and 360 selling tools for Sales to execute in-trade
  • Internal (TM): Leader of execution for JBP-invested (D&A) branded activations in RTM
  • Internal (CD): Owner of category data, insights & RGM evaluations

What you'll need:
Education & Experience
  • Experience in Sales, Category Development and/or Trade Marketing (guideline 5+ years)
  • Leadership experience managing teams/agencies (guideline 3+ years)
  • Deep knowledge of food & beverage dynamics in AFH channel
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Highly proficient in data analytics and familiar with Cat Dev data and reporting tools - e.g. Circana
  • Highly proficient in understanding operator behaviour and translating Marketing plans into Trade plans

Professional Attributes
  • Commercial acumen - ability to convey a strong value proposition, with strong analytical skill.
  • Leadership & stakeholder management - capable of engaging, inspiring and influencing peers & leaders.
  • Execution excellence - strong focus on driving excellence in execution to deliver optimal results.
  • Data-driven decision-making - ability to analyze market data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Customer-centric mindset - ability to build strong meaningful relationships with wholesalers and operators

What we offer you
  • An ambitious employer; we only want the best for our people!
  • An industry-recognised career development pathway
  • A meritocratic salary and bonus structure
  • Excellent training & coaching opportunities to develop your skills and behaviours
  • Flexible and hybrid working approach, including ability to work from abroad
  • Family-friendly and inclusive work environment, backed by leadership-sponsored Business Resource Groups
  • Private medical cover & Digital GP
  • Market leading parental leave benefits & sponsored nursery scheme
  • Employee discount on Heinz products!
