About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cash Management Operations Associate to join our EMEA team based in London. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with Treasury and Operations partners to ensure smooth daily cash management.
As a Cash Management Operations Associate, you'll play a key role in monitoring cash positions, supporting funding activities, and ensuring accurate reporting for EMEA entities. You'll collaborate with Treasury, Operations, and Network Management teams while contributing to a strong risk and control environment.
You'll be part of a collaborative, high-performing team where your contributions will directly support the firm's daily liquidity and operational success. This is a great opportunity to grow your knowledge of Treasury processes, payments, and cash management operations.
In this role, you will:
  • Monitor daily cash and nostro accounts and flag any issues or unusual activity to senior team members.
  • Support the Treasury team (MCT desk) by providing information on outgoing payments and daily funding needs.
  • Help ensure end-of-day balances stay within required limits by following up with internal Operations teams on outstanding items.
  • Notify senior staff of any large or important transactions that require early visibility.
  • Assist in processing funding requests across nostro accounts to help support timely settlement of payments.
  • Support efforts to reduce excess balances at the direction of Treasury.
  • Prepare and send daily cash flow files to Treasury teams for EMEA entities.
  • Complete basic management information (MI) reporting, including monthly data for FX Risk Packs.
  • Carry out system checks to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with requests to open new nostro accounts, working with Treasury and Network Management.
  • Support the team's risk responsibilities by following procedures and escalating issues promptly.
  • Assist during internal audits, reviews, and control testing.
  • Contribute to process improvements and take part in small change initiatives or projects as needed.

Skills & Experience Required
    • Some experience in financial services or operations.
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
    • Comfortable working with data; confident using Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
    • Well-organized with strong time-management skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
    • A team player who asks questions and collaborates effectively.
    • Basic understanding of banking or financial products (desirable but not essential).
    • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a small team.
