Role Overview:

We are looking for a Cargo Operations Coordinator to join our Cargo department. Reporting into our Cargo Operations Manager, this role will plan and coordinate the worldwide transportation of F1 freight.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the worldwide transportation and distribution of F1 equipment in accordance with applicable regulations and policies
  • Prepare and manage all required shipping documentation and customs declarations accurately and efficiently
  • Plan and manage aircraft loads in support of the air charter logistics operation
  • Liaise with logistics partners, service providers, and regulatory authorities as required, fostering and maintaining strong professional relationships
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with the company’s Known Consignor security programme and internal security policies
  • Contribute to the preparation of freight and sustainability reports
  • Maintain awareness of applicable freight legislation and advise on its implications, investigating compliant shipping options to meet operational targets across the company
  • Contribute to logistics planning and budget preparation
  • Monitor and report on work undertaken, providing regular updates to the Cargo Operations Manager
  • Ensure all work is undertaken safely in accordance with current best practice and health & safety protocols
  • Regular international travel to support global operations, including solo travel at time. The roles involves attendance at approximately 10-12 flyaway events, with around 100 days spent oversees per year

In this role it is essential that you have:

•       Ability to identify and implement process improvements


Experience

Prior to the role it would be essential that you have:

•       Logistics background with a focus towards air charter & event cargo

•       Experience thriving within a team environment as well as independently and unsupervised

•       Proficient with MS office suit applications

•       Knowledge of Customs regulations and international trade

•       Knowledge of widebody aircraft operations


Some desirable experience that you may bring to the role:

•       Working under Known Consignor or Regulated Agent regulations


Qualifications

You will need to have current UK driving license in this role. Not essential to be successful in the role but you may also have the following qualifications:

  • Dangerous Goods Awareness
  • Dangerous Goods packing and certification by air
