We are looking for a creative, digital writing specialist to elevate our end-to-end client facing content capabilities through our new premium offering, Capital Ideas Pro. Capital Ideas Pro is a gateway the best of Capital’s award-winning insights, support, and tools for our clients. You are an expert in creating materials to engage a digital/mobile audience and guide them through an immersive experience, personalised to their needs and with an emphasis on learning and developments. You possess a deep understanding of writing persuasively for various formats, including the delivery of engaging educational content. This will supplement our in-person Europe and Asia Pac (EACG) Client Education capabilities and leverage the Global Capital Ideas Pro platform.

You will work within the new Capital Ideas Pro hub inside the EACG Business Management function, partnering closely with our Global Client and platform teams, looking to deliver an elevated experience to our scalable clients. This role is key to expanding our interactive digital capabilities through curation of new materials, journeys, and experiences. In particular, you will help bring some our best-in-class capabilities from our North America teams to our Europe and Asia audiences, expanding the reach of our in-person offerings ensuring the client experience is fully connected. This role will work closely with our Client Education, Marketing, ACS, Market Research and Digital/Design Teams in EACG, and our US SMEs.

About EACG:

EACG – Europe and Asia Pac Client Group - consists of departments such as Sales, Marketing, Asset Class Services and Business Management. This group is crucial to the success of Capital Group’s long-term strategy: to be the world’s investment manager of choice. The Client Group is focused on delivering superior investment products and services to help meet the goals of our clients: institutional investors and individual investors (via financial intermediaries).

Key responsibilities

Educational and Investment Content:

  • Collaborate with the Capital Ideas Pro working groups, Client education team, Client experience, ACS, and other stakeholders to develop written educational and investment content for multi-channel delivery. This may include facilitator guides, speaker notes, participant handouts, implementation guides etc.

  • Curate and design materials intended for an impactful and engaging digital experience leveraging research and input from the market and our clients.

  • Transform complex financial topics into well-structured and easy to understand written material: short-form articles, stories, case studies and blog posts. Validate information with subject matter experts.

  • Design and deliver thematic research and educational content/materials in an engaging way for digital audience

  • Write scripts for podcasts, videos, webinars, and webcasts.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to produce educational pieces and thought leadership on investment-related topics (e.g. investment management, current industry issues, long-term investment trends) and practice management topics.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (sales, marketing, ACS etc) to create promo materials for training workshops (e.g., pre- and post-workshop emails, social media posts, brochures etc.)

  • Tailor content to resonate with professionals covering a broad array of career stages in the financial sector.

  • Thoroughly proofread all written materials to ensure accuracy, grammar, and adherence to brand guidelines and the Tone of Voice.

  • Actively participate in all stages of the content development cycle, consultations with the wider business and relevant internal business networks.

Background

  • Experience working in media, corporate communications, corporate client education, or marketing.

  • Proven experience in content writing, preferably within the financial services industry.

  • Proven experience of writing persuasively for various formats (articles, emails, scripts, etc.).

  • A demonstrated ability to capture complex ideas and express them clearly and concisely.

  • Familiarity with asset management concepts and terminology.

  • Demonstrable ability to communicate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

  • Strong business acumen

  • Excellent proofreading skills to catch errors and inconsistencies.

  • Relevant education (journalism, PR, marketing, psychology etc.)

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
