Capital Analyst

This is a great job for someone who has strong capital management, along with experience of Asset Management or the Financial Services Sector.

A bit about the job:

The Aviva Investors Finance team holds a leading role in building and running a financial framework that links Aviva Investors strategy, operations, resource allocation and performance management.  The role will support the Capital Reporting Manager and Senior Finance Manager in delivering high quality capital and liquidity reporting to internal and external stakeholders. The internal MI will enable management to make informed decisions around capital and liquidity. The role also contributes to the management of the global capital and liquidity position of Aviva Investors to ensure that no regulatory breaches occur.  The successful candidate will support the Capital Team with new capital transactions, including capital injections, loans, capital reductions, and dividends. Additionally, they will prepare quarterly capital metrics such as Return on Capital, Operating Capital Generation, and Solvency Ratios, and conduct financial risk assessments to support the Internal Capital and Risk Assessment (ICARA) process.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Part -Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)

  • Understanding of FCA and PRA regulatory reporting requirements and an understanding of EU wide and global regulatory capital directives and requirements.

  • Strong business acumen, coupled with excellent project management / facilitation skills

  • Good understanding of the risk and control environment, and the ‘Senior Managers and Certification Regime’ (SM&CR) given the regulated nature of the CFO role

  • Ability to make decisions, use independent judgment, establish priorities, and work effectively on multiple initiatives
