The Role

The firm is looking to bring on a motivated professional to join the London-based value creation team. The individual will be a fluent German speaker and will focus on the Client Development vertical, acting as a key support to the existing senior team. The suitable candidate will have a solid understanding of the private markets industry as well as a keen interest in developing a strong knowledge of the local investor community. The candidate will be a self-starter who will be expected to engage in a wide variety of projects and assignments as it pertains to the team’s connectivity with the LP community in the EMEA region, with an emphasis on DACH.

Responsibilities:
• Act as support to the existing senior team in managing relationships with local investors while developing a strong understanding of their allocation priorities and interests;
• Eventually take the lead on maintaining a regular dialogue with investors and keeping them up to date on our client’s Partner Managers’ activities and fundraises;
• Help Partner Managers in identifying geographies and investor segments of potential growth;
• Collect and relay investor intelligence to our client’s Partner Managers as it relates to their current products and/or new product development and spearheading a range of related projects (terms benchmarking, product feasibility analysis, regulatory environment);
• Think critically about the changing demands of investors and how those changes may affect our client’s portfolio;
• Organize events highlighting Partner Managers’ CIOs / Senior Investment Professionals in front of an audience of local/regional investors;
• Over time, take on Relationship Management role with one or more of our Partner Managers, thereby becoming responsible for helping them navigate the value creation team and executing on their strategic business goals.

Qualifications:
• Excellent academic credentials; MBA, CFA/CAIA or other advanced degree a plus;
• A degree of experience at a private markets firm or fund placement firm is preferable;
• Meaningful experience with both capital raises and IR functionality at alternative firms;
• Good working knowledge of private markets strategies and firms; high degree of intellectual curiosity about the alternatives industry and its business dynamics;
• Fluency in German;
• Self-starting attitude and entrepreneurial spirit balanced with a commitment to teamwork;
• Exceptionally organized with the ability to fully function within Salesforce reporting environment;
• Superior ability to multi-task; able to apply a fine-tuned attention to detail to effectively communicate complex information both orally and in written formats.
