The role
We are looking for a Campaign Specialist to orchestrate and execute external communications for diverse publishing initiatives, products, and services. As a crucial member of our brand team, this role focuses on developing impactful campaigns to amplify Frontiers’ voice and presence across key channels in various markets. Reporting to the Brand Communications Manager, the Campaign Specialist will collaborate closely with the Chief Marcom Officer, marcom heads and managers, the VIP outreach team, the events team, and portfolio managers.

As a Campaign Specialist, you will:

· Create and maintain a yearly calendar of brand, corporate and thought leadership communications

· Keep abreast of all comms activity across Frontiers using a tracking dashboard, helping teams to be aligned and avoid clashes

· Develop effective ways of communicating Frontiers’ brand story and describing our mission and values to external stakeholders

· Keep abreast of significant developments in open science and academic publishing that present opportunities to contribute to key discussions

· Liaise with specialist marketing and comms functions (public relations, science communications, digital marketing, events) to ensure our output and activity is aligned around a core brand story

· Support the delivery of brand campaigns throughout the year

· Edit and proofread content across Frontiers’ communications channels to ensure brand consistency

· Work with the business intelligence team to measure brand awareness and sentiment throughout the year

· Measure the effectiveness of brand campaigns and report on outcomes

Person specification:

Requirements/knowledge

· English speaker with excellent writing and communication skills

· Meticulous attention to detail

· Understanding of communications channels, including social media, websites, and email

Abilities and competencies that will help you thrive in this role:

· Strong project management skills

· Collaborative team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment

· Confident presenting to colleagues at all levels in the company

Experience/education

· Experience in developing impactful communications campaigns

· Approximately 3+ years’ experience in relevant brand, PR, communications, or content marketing roles

· Demonstrable experience of developing successful creative brand campaigns

· Experience of working closely with creative teams and graphic designers

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in English, communications, or a related area (desirable)

· Knowledge of academic publishing landscape (desirable)
