About The Role

This role is within the NRM Performance Hub, with the mission to deliver industry leading Net Revenue Growth by developing the strongest NRM tools and capability of our peers.

The role of NBA & NBV business product lead is a Global role and will be responsible for ensuring Haleon commercial teams are fully enabled by industry leading analytics and modelling tools in the areas of Next Best. In order for Field sales teams to harness the power of data and machine learning to create “next best actions” that optimise sales processes and improve outcomes.

Next best actions (NBA) is a solution, which will equip our sales teams in understanding what actions would create the greatest sales uplift (potential) during a sales visit. We wish for our representatives to be fully data driven and enabled by technology. These solution should help support and drive a significant sales uplift (effectiveness) and field team (efficiency), delivering a strong return on investment (ROI).

Haleon commercial representatives of the future will be augmented and enabled by technological solutions, precision data, reporting and insights leading to store level targeted actions and solutions.

This role will lead the business transformation and ensure market adoption of these ISE tools e.g., mindset change, capability, and process changes.

This person will improve business results by fully understanding the goals of the commercial and field teams, and translating those goals into technological solutions that will drive better outcomes. Translating business insights and needs to the Haleon tech & data teams and tech solutions back to the business (market commercial teams).

Success will be achieved by driving change and improvements in technology that brings the most business value to Haleon by understanding the requests coming from the user community, converting into product design, and working with the tech and data teams to prioritise the changes and deliver the enhancements.

This person will need to be a subject matter expert and provide “thought leadership” on these innovative NBA tools, this Product Lead needs to collaborate and work extensively across multifunctional teams to help provide inspiration and create demand for products, engaging users through product demos, and ownership of the deployment roadmap. Working with BU and market teams to help them understand current competency levels within the Field Sales/Instore Execution arena and help them deliver a plan to build market leading capabilities and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Together with the NBA Global Director, Product Teams, Tech and Data, strategic implementation partners and the phase 1 markets build, enhance and depoy  a number of data an analytical tools and  solutions

  • Provide and collect subject matter expertise, business guidance and steer the future design on NBA product lifecycle management, including governance frameworks, KPIs and capability build.

  • Ensure a cohesive and successful product development & delivery process. Function as the conduit between the Business and the enabling tech and data teams.

  • Be a leader, provide direction and foster collaboration and a positive engaged working environment.

  • Research to understand trends, competition, and market needs.

  • Maintain a customer centric approach identifying needs and addressing pain points.

  • Create product roadmap including product development and release management.

  • Fully define KPIs and track to measure progress and success of ISE products.

  • Prioritise features and enhancements based on demand, feedback, and business priority.

  • Risk management Identify and mitigate potential risk/ challenges that may impact products success.

  • Innovation - Foster culture of innovation, curiosity, and growth mindset.

  • Deliver the value business case and product roadmap.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate.

Proven data and analytics experiences, strategic thinking, thought leadership, senior stakeholder management and execution capabilities. 

In addition, experience of the following in a programme environment will be essential:

  • Adopting a strategic, proactive, challenging mindset, with focus on exceptional execution.

  • Demonstrating the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders and influence beyond direct area of responsibilities, navigating the organisation to ensure effective inter-team and functional workings.

  • Demonstrating a commercial understanding of the programme and objectives you are undertaking on others within or outside of the programme.

  • Managing multiple initiatives running concurrently.

  • Identifying and capturing risks, issues, and impediments in a timely manner, and ensuring that those identified are being managed proactively.

  • Communicating clearly and concisely to a leadership level, with the ability to engage both with Business and Tech teams.

  • Holding others to account.

Skills/Experience:

Required

  • Excellent data and analytical experience are essential and working on commercial, commercial data and reporting would be advantageous.

  • Excellent relationship management, strong influencing, and communication skills with all levels of the organization including senior stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail and managing complexity.

  • Track record in delivering business impact.

  • Strong commercial and business understanding             

  • Strong data and analytics background                          

  • Senior stakeholder management                                  

  • Successful Project management delivery      

                   

Preferred

  • Customer sales / commercial team experience.

  • Experience working on complex data project / initiatives that involve multiple change elements across people, policy, process, and technology.
