ROLE DESCRIPTION

Due to our growth, we are seeking Business Analysts to deliver a range of exciting projects across Insurance.  We are seeking people with deep expertise and knowledge of the Insurance industry including (London Market, General Insurance and Life & Pensions) and you will be joining a strong team. The role will include the following, depending on experience:

  • Shaping and defining the true business problem, opportunity, and associated requirement, covering People, Process and Technology.
  • Delivering solutions that resolve the business problem and setting out impacts and risks.
  • Delivering the business analysis activities on projects and programmes.
  • Integrity and alignment of the proposed and chosen solutions with business needs.
  • Developing and professionalising themselves and the business analyst community.

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Process Specialist to work with clients to understand and map their end-to-end business processes. The role will involve working with cross-functional teams across one or more financial services clients. The successful candidate will have proven expertise in process analysis, process mapping and process improvement focused on risk reduction and controls management. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in using IBM Blueworks, and able to provide training and support to team members to use the tool.

As part of the consulting team at Capco, the Business Process Specialist will

  • Lead process mapping workshops and facilitate discussions to gather insights and feedback from subject matter experts and other cross-functional stakeholders within client organisations
  • Document process maps in the client’s chosen tool (IBM Blueworks) and create any other relevant documentation to ensure clarity and consistency
  • Identify key risks, controls, improvement and optimisation opportunities within cross-functional processes, systems and operations
  • Monitor and measure key performance indicators (KPIs), adjusting as needed
  • Provide training and support to team members on process mapping methodologies, best practices and tools, specifically IBM Blueworks (desired)

  • Understanding of risk management frameworks and internal controls principles as well as experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational, financial, regulatory, or compliance risks.


To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in process design, process mapping, process improvement and/or business analysis, preferably within the financial services industry or related fields
  • Knowledge and practical experience of process mapping/BPMN
  • Proven expertise using IBM Blueworks (desired), or similar process mapping tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex and cross-functional processes, and identify optimisation opportunities
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational, financial, regulatory, or compliance risks (desired)
