Be part of a team that’s driving innovation, enabling growth and shaping the future of UK lending.

Role purpose

The Business Manager is responsible for making the Delivery function run smoothly, predictably and transparently.

Working directly for the Chief Delivery Officer, the role owns the day-to-day operational backbone of the Delivery organisation: embedding the new operating model, ensuring accurate and trusted data, establishing repeatable processes, and enabling leadership to run the function using clear insight.

This is a hands-on, highly visible role that sits at the intersection of people, process, systems and data, supporting a ~180-person Delivery organisation distributed across the UK and India, spanning four delivery disciplines and three Heads of Delivery.

Reporting line

Reports to and Accountable: Chief Delivery Officer

Key responsibilities

Delivery Data, Reporting & Insight

  • Lead the rollout and embed automated reporting across all client engagements and Delivery teams.
  • Ensure delivery leaders have timely, accurate and actionable insight into performance, risk and capacity.
  • Define and maintain a single source of truth for delivery data.
  • Enable analysis that highlights emerging issues early (capacity, margin, delivery health, resourcing pressure).

Kantata Ownership & Data Quality

Act as the functional owner of Kantata for the Delivery organisation.  Ensure Kantata is:

    • Set up optimally across all active and new projects
    • Used consistently across teams and regions
    • Producing accurate, trusted data
    • Refine standards for project setup, forecasting, resourcing and tracking.
    • Monitor data quality and intervene where accuracy or discipline drops.

    Month-End Delivery Process

    • Design, implement and own a Delivery month-end process.
    • Define what “good” looks like for:
    • Project status
    • Forecast accuracy
    • Resourcing and utilisation
    • Financial and delivery confidence
    • Develop or select tools, templates and dashboards to support the process.
    • Ensure month-end becomes a repeatable, low-friction rhythm.

    Process Design & Continuous Improvement

    • Lead significant process definition and improvement work across the Delivery function.
    • Document and communicate:
    • How we run delivery
    • How we manage engagements
    • How decisions are made and escalated
    • Reduce dependency on tribal knowledge by making processes explicit, usable and embedded.
    • Continuously refine processes as the function scales and matures.

    Governance & Leadership Support

    • Support Delivery governance forums, including:
    • Leadership and management meetings
    • Portfolio and project reviews
    • Operational and planning forums
    • Ensure governance meetings are well-structured, data-driven and outcome-focused.
    • Prepare materials, reporting and insight that enable effective decision-making.
    • Track actions and ensure follow-through across the Delivery leadership team.

    Stakeholder & Leadership Collaboration

    • Work in close partnership with:
    • The Chief Delivery Officer
    • Heads of Delivery
    • Discipline Leads
    • Finance, People and Operations teams
    • Act as a trusted operational partner to delivery leadership.
    • Provide challenge where data, process or execution does not align to expectations.

    Ways of Working

    • Comfortable operating across senior leadership, delivery managers and operational teams.
    • Highly organised, structured and detail-oriented, without losing sight of outcomes.
    • Calm, pragmatic and confident in environments with ambiguity and change.
    • Able to translate complexity into clear processes, data and decisions.
    • Credible working across distributed UK and India teams.
