The Business Intelligence Researcher will lead efforts to leverage technology for business intelligence insights, collaborate with developers and data analysts, and produce research to influence trading decisions. What You'll Do:
- Work on and lead efforts that leverage technology to surface meaningful business intelligence insights
- Work closely with Developers, Researchers, and Data Analysts to solve challenging business problems
- Work with technology teams on development of process design and workflow, data management, etc.
- Liaise with areas of research and trading on variety of topics, including post-trade statistical analysis of trading performance
- Broadcast appropriate information and insights globally, to connect the company across regions
- Produce research for Jump to educate and influence exchange decision making with respect to market structure, product availability, etc.
- Other duties as assigned or needed
Skills You’ll Need:
- Strong analytical skills, ability to connect dots across different data sources, processes, and departments
- Deep interest and passion for trading and global markets
- Engineering experience working with programming languages for automation tasks (Python, etc.)
- Practical understanding of database concepts and applications, ETL Pipelining
- Experience with data analysis, SQL, Linux, BI Platforms such as MicroStrategy or Tableau, Microsoft Office Suite
- Untiringly inquisitive, self-starter, scrappy, creative, good instincts, and a nose for making money
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and changing priorities
- Working seamlessly across the organization, wearer of many hats
- Being a connector, i.e. if they cannot solve a problem, they will help connect the user with someone who can
- Ability to quickly learn business concepts, internalize priorities, and network effectively with peers
