What you’ll do
The Business Intelligence Center supports AlixPartners’ global business development efforts. The team delivers intelligent research, identifies new potential business opportunities, supports pitches, analyses market trends and tracks competitor activity.
We are looking to grow our team with a permanent Performance and Technology (P&T) Specialist. You will work closely with senior P&T practice leaders, providing strategic support on business development, research, pitch support and insight development. This role has a greater focus on the “Technology” side of the P&T practice, which covers Digital Innovation, Cloud & Infrastructure, Tech Modernisation, AI & Data and Cyber.
We are seeking candidates who have experience in providing business research, market intelligence and a sound understanding of technology, analytics and AI. The role is located in London and will report into a Business Intelligence Director.
Your research role will be focused on macro (industry) and micro (company) level market intelligence, market analysis, financial analysis, and supporting our consulting teams with business development and client deliverables.
Responsibilities and tasks include:
- Perform independent, creative research and market analysis, covering the breadth of P&T offerings
- Liaise closely with P&T practice leaders and BIC Leadership to identify most pressing research needs.
- Develop standardized research products to meet on-going needs of business development, client delivery, and marketing campaigns primarily focused on Digital Innovation, Cloud & Infrastructure, Tech Modernisation, AI & Data and Cyber.
- Lead the creation of insights into leading technologies across industries.
- Manage use-case library of technology applications and serve a point person for integrating evolving market dynamic.
- Develop technology point of views, including identifying target companies and building insights into value creation areas.
- Analyze competitor and market intelligence across the technology practices; derive insights and produce reports and presentations of findings, benchmarks, and insights.
- Identify new business opportunities considering of changing business, technology and industry dynamics.
- Provide pitch support to the Performance and Technology service line.

What you’ll need
- Professional experience in a market research or consulting role required.
- Master’s degree with a preference for business, technology or computer science based subjects.
- Sound judgement, common sense, problem-solving ability.
- Committed to the success of the team, ability to cooperate with others and work across boundaries to engage with colleagues to get things done.
- Curious and able to find creative and practical solutions, desire to innovate and improve status quo for betterment of global BIC team.
- Flexible and versatile. Ability to shift directions, work with all levels and handle all activities, issues, and problems.
- Adapt at multi-tasking within a high expectation and fast-paced environment.
- Assure the quality and timely completion and delivery of projects including. prioritizing projects during peak activity times.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Strong grasp of MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Familiarity with popular market data tools (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, Factiva).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, and in particular as unique projects/needs arise.
