Job Description:

Location: Paddington, London
Division: Business & Customer Excellence
Reporting to: Business Excellence Lead
Working Type: Hybrid (60% on site)
Travel Requirements: Up to 20%

About the Role

At Ipsen, we create real impact every day for patients and society. As Business Excellence Manager, you will play a strategic role in shaping the performance and effectiveness of our sales organization across the UK and Ireland. You’ll lead decision-making on incentive frameworks and sales targets, ensuring alignment with business priorities and market realities.

This is a high-impact role requiring deep expertise in pharmaceutical sales and commercial operations. You’ll guide best practices in salesforce excellence, deliver actionable insights, optimize field force planning, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive data-informed strategies that elevate commercial impact and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Force Analysis & Insights

    • Analyze sales performance, call activity, and customer engagement.
    • Monitor KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
    • Provide insights to guide resource allocation and strategy.
  • Territory & Targeting Management

    • Lead territory alignment and customer segmentation.
    • Partner with marketing and sales leadership on targeting strategies.
    • Manage updates to physician/HCP lists and territory structures.
  • Incentive Compensation & Performance Tracking

    • Design and monitor incentive compensation schemes.
    • Provide performance dashboards and tracking tools.
    • Ensure fairness and alignment with business objectives.
  • Reporting & Data Management

    • Develop and maintain standardized reports and dashboards.
    • Ensure data quality across CRM, sales, and secondary sources.
    • Deliver ad hoc analyses to support decision-making.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience in sales force effectiveness, data management, or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • A forward-thinking mindset and solution-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science or similar).
  • Fluency in English.
