King & Spalding, a leading global law firm, seeks a Business Development Supervisor to provide dedicated business development support to the London Finance & Restructuring Practice, working alongside a manager to advise partners and lawyers on growth initiatives, pitches, and marketing activities. The role will also provide occasional support to the broader European practice, collaborating on cross-border projects and sharing best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary Business Development contact for the London Finance & Restructuring Practice, supporting all Business Development and marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate the preparation of pitches, proposals, and RFPs for the Finance & Restructuring team in London and provide pitch support to the global practice on an as needed basis.
  • Develop and maintain marketing materials, experience lists, and credentials for designated practice.
  • Support directory and award submissions, including gathering matter information and coordinating interviews.
  • Conduct research on clients, competitors, and market trends to identify new business opportunities.
  • Organise and support London Finance & Restructuring-related events, webinars, and sponsorships, working with the events team as needed.
  • Track and report on Business Development activities, client targeting, and business planning efforts.
  • Collaborate with the global Business Development team on cross-border initiatives and provide ad hoc support as required.
  • Assist with onboarding of lateral hires within the Finance & Restructuring Practice, working closely with other Business Development team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Team player with a flexible and proactive approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems desirable.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in legal or professional services Business Development/Marketing desirable.
