Role Overview

Responsible for generating new business opportunities for the Global Entity Management (GEM) team, building target lists of prospective clients and running the initial approaches that introduce GEM's services to them.


The individual will prepare proposal, pitch and capability documentation, working closely with GEM subject-matter experts, lead client onboarding for new business won, and track future opportunities such as renewals and upcoming tenders. They will also support GEM's presence at conferences and other business development events.

Job Role & Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain target lists of prospective GEM clients.
  • Complete initial approaches to introduce GEM services to prospective clients.
  • Prepare documentation for new business opportunities, including capability statements, proposals and pitch content.
  • Work with GEM subject-matter experts on documents, calls and meetings supporting opportunities.
  • Track future opportunities, including upcoming client renewals and potential tenders to be run.
  • Lead on client onboarding processes, both on the Law Debenture side and the client side.
  • Support GEM's participation in business development events such as conferences, including reviewing attendee lists for potential leads, carrying out client and prospect research, and supporting event organisation.
  • Maintain accurate records of business development activity and pipeline in internal systems (Pipedrive).
  • Build strong working relationships with GEM team members, GEM Senior Management, and Marketing/Business Development colleagues across Law Debenture.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • 2-3 years' experience in a business development, sales, marketing or client-facing role, with a proven track record in converting leads.
  • Previous experience in navigating tender processes – including RFI stages and RFP submissions.
  • Degree preferred, in business, marketing or a similar discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare polished, professional client-facing materials.
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills, including advance PowerPoint skills.
  • Well organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines at once.
  • Confident building relationships with a range of stakeholders, including senior colleagues and prospective clients.
  • Comfortable working with GEM subject-matter experts to translate technical service detail into clear, compelling client content.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • Prior experience of using a Client Relationship Management (CRM) platform
  • Prior experience of prospecting tools, such as Linked In SalesNavigator, or similar
  • Experience of working within regulated environments, such as financial services
