You’ll generate demand, interest, and excitement for Eventbrite while creating a pipeline of business to arm our Business Development Managers.

THE TEAM
The Business Development team is a mighty group with diverse backgrounds—seasoned business development people, sellers, and a few former musicians and event heads. We’re charged with kicking off conversations with and generating qualified leads for our Business Development Managers. We work with all kinds of event organisers to turn them into successful Eventbrite customers.
THE ROLE
The Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR II) is a key player in driving revenue growth by identifying and engaging high-potential event creators. You will generate and qualify leads for our sales team by proactively reaching out to event organizers, venues, and promoters across multiple industries—music, festivals, conferences, and more.
In this role, you’ll take a strategic outbound approach to prospecting, using outbound calling, email, and social media to connect with decision-makers. You’ll leverage your knowledge of the live events industry and our platform to consultatively guide prospects toward the right Eventbrite solutions. Your success will be measured by your ability to create high-quality sales opportunities and contribute to our mission of bringing the world together through live experiences. In turn, we will support, coach and guide you towards the career path for this role, which is Account Executive.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify & Engage: Research and reach out to event organizers, venues, and promoters to introduce Eventbrite’s platform and uncover their ticketing needs.
- Lead Qualification: Assess prospect needs, ticketing history, and event growth potential to qualify them as strong sales opportunities.
- Industry Expertise: Stay up-to-date on trends in live events, ticketing, and competitor offerings to engage prospects with relevant insights.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Track all interactions and manage leads in CRM tools (Salesforce) to optimize the sales funnel.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Account Executives and Sales Leaders to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified opportunities.
- Performance & Insights: Consistently meet or exceed KPIs for outreach, conversions, and lead quality while sharing market insights with the team.
THE SKILLSET
- Experience in live events or ticketing sales is a plus! Prior work with event organizers, promoters, venues, or ticketing technology is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of sales pipeline management, lead generation, and qualification best practices.
- Ability to engage event organizers and business owners with compelling value propositions tailored to their industry.
- Proven ability to handle complex objections and navigate negotiations in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger Sale, SPIN Selling, or MEDDIC).
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement platforms.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and passionate about helping event creators succeed.
- Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of sales development or lead generation experience, OR
- High school diploma/GED + 3 years of experience in a B2B sales development role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding lead generation and qualification targets.
- Experience in the music industry, events space
