Secure Code Warrior is seeking a resourceful, organized, creative go-getter for a contract role as a Business Development Representative with a focus on but not limited to the UK/EU regions. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for engaging with and developing new leads/prospects, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth and relevant journey through the prospect and customer life cycle and help generate marketing-driven sales opportunities and pipeline. This includes, but is not limited to promptly reviewing, vetting and qualifying all inbound leads created through and engaged with marketing activities, and strategic highly-personalized and relevant outbound activities.This role will report into the Regional Demand Generation Manager. Responsibilities include: 

Lead/Prospect/Customer research, development and qualification

  • Field inbound inquiries verbally or digitally via calls, chat, form submissions, etc 
  • Create sales pipeline through productive meeting sets in accordance to established performance standards
  • Supporting pipeline generation through lead research and qualification and proactive prospecting and outreach activities
  • Finding new insights and data to share with prospects to showcase SCW value and develop prospects to sales readiness
  • Understanding customers' and prospects’ needs and responding or routing customer questions and inquiries Explain and demonstrate features of products and services as needed
  • Brainstorm and execute on campaigns to nurture prospects and demonstrate the value of SCW

Adherence to process governance and ensuring proper data hygiene

  • Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.
  • Research and enrich lead/contact records with additional information to assist with qualifying or segmentation

Have a growth mindset to continuously develop product, industry and functional knowledge

  • Keep up to date with product and service information and updates
  • Stay informed about competing products and services
  • Understand cross-sell and upsell motions for SCW products and services
  • Stay up to date on sales communication techniques and tactics

BDR Qualification Requirements

  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated to deliver on or exceed on targets
  • Tenacious and passionate with an ability to stay focused to achieve targets
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with strong communication and listening capabilities, both verbal and written
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Adaptable and collaborative, listens and applies feedback and continuously provides feedback and insights of their own
  • Dynamic critical thinker, adapt to change and provides available insights
  • Creative with an ability to leverage available resources to address the needs and pain points of prospects and customers
  • Adaptable and collaborative

Preferred

  • Previous experience or understanding of the cybersecurity landscape or working with personas related to cybersecurity preferred.
  • Previous experience in a sales, lead generation or business development role working with strategic or enterprise account executives is preferred.
  • Proficiency with software and tools like Salesforce, Clari Groove, Google Suite, and prospecting tools preferred.
