SimCorp is an equal-opportunity employer. We are committed to building a culture where diverse perspectives and expertise are integrated into our everyday work. We believe in the continual growth and development of our employees, so that we can provide best-in-class solutions to our clients.
Why this role is important to us:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) reports to the EMEA Head of Axioma Sales and is a key driver of our growth in the region. This role provides an opportunity to build deep expertise in our Axioma solutions while mastering high‑impact sales skills.
You will work closely with Sales, Pre‑Sales, and Marketing, taking ownership of engaging target accounts to generate early‑stage pipeline. Success in this role relies on drive, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine interest in financial markets. High performers will have a clear path toward becoming a Sales Manager.
What you will be responsible for
To discover and qualify opportunities for the sales team to pursue in target accounts, the BDR:
Proactively initiate communication through phone, email, social media, and other channels to deliver tailored Axioma messaging that resonates.
Develop, refine, and experiment with outreach scripts and approaches to improve effectiveness.
Screen, qualify, and nurture inbound marketing leads using SimCorp’s sales best practices.
Follow up on inbound enquiries to determine whether a business opportunity exists.
Drive attendance for Axioma events and promotional activities, ensuring engagement from prospective clients.
Conduct research to identify new contacts, build account intelligence, and update CRM data in Salesforce.
Log all interactions comprehensively in Salesforce and leverage reports to manage your pipeline.
Maintain uptodate knowledge of Axioma’s offering, industry trends, and competitor landscape, with an active interest in how asset managers use risk and portfolio analytics.
You contribute to the team work by:
Partnering closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure a consistent and highimpact message across all touchpoints.
Providing feedback on marketing campaigns based on your direct interactions with prospects.
Supporting Sales with appointment setting and earlystage engagement.
Entering leads, intelligence, and interactions into Salesforce in a timely and structured manner.
And to perform at a high level, the ideal candidate is also expected to:
Demonstrate relentless drive and an eagerness to exceed activity and pipeline targets.
Show curiosity about financial markets and the investment management ecosystem — whether from studies, professional experience, or personal interest.
Learn and apply SimCorp’s and Axioma’s sales concepts and solution knowledge with discipline and enthusiasm.
Understand complex solution selling and adopt a consultative, insightled approach.
Make a high volume of intelligent, personalised outreach to engage senior stakeholders.
Apply strong phone, email, and conversation techniques to identify key decisionmakers quickly.
Use Salesforce effectively to manage your work and maintain data quality.
Be proficient with productivity tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
What we value
Most importantly, you can see yourself thriving in the role described above. How you gained your skills matters less than your motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn fast. We expect you to be great at several of the following and motivated to learn the rest:
Relevant experience (2–5 years) in a similar role within capital markets, financial technology, or software.
A basic understanding of capital markets, investment operations, or portfolio management — or a strong interest and willingness to learn.
Knowledge of Axioma or competing risk/analytics platforms is a plus.
Fluency in English; another European language is advantageous.
Highenergy approach to outreach and pipeline generation.
Familiarity with Salesforce and modern sales enablement tools.
