Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Business Development Marketing and Sales Representative (Mid-Level or Senior) (Level 3 or 4) to support Domestic/International Sales Campaigns for Vertical Lift program located in Ridley Park, PA for Vertical Lift Business Development (VLBD).
Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates with Business Development Sales and Marketing Team on long-range strategies, organizational goals, objectives and initiatives.
  • Coordinates with Business Development Sales and Marketing Team for regular deliverables, briefings, meetings and work packages.
  • Leverages company resources to support customer commitments, gain a competitive advantage and foster business growth by developing a general understanding of Boeing products and services, process and operations and resources.
  • Captures and documents general information related to customer business, culture, issues and concerns, requirements, and economic and environmental influences by researching available resources, web-sites, publications and talking to our global teammates/resources.
  • Assists in the interface with the customer and internal Boeing resources to keep both apprised of key issues and concerns.
  • Assists in the development of internal and customer solutions by performing analysis of needs and available resources for specific products and solutions with minimal guidance.
  • Evaluates processes that can be improved, makes recommendations to the internal team, and executes such projects.
  • Gathers and compiles strategic information into a consolidated package to facilitate the development of strategy and tactics with guidance.
  • Familiarization with our Boeing Integrated Business Acquisition Process (IBAP) and Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP) and applies that understanding in support of our business captures.
  • Supports creation of presentation materials and management review packages (i.e., Strategic Business Councils, Gate Reviews).
  • Assists in the preparation of internal presentations and supporting material.
  • Assists with BD Functions or Division Sponsorships and Memberships plan;
  • Business Unit Focal in Sponsorship Tracking System (STAR) system.
  • Role will work directly with the identified Divisions Leadership and Sales team regularly
  • Special projects and ad hoc tasks are assigned as needed.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with the Vertical Lift Platforms (Cargo/Utility, Tiltrotor, and/or Attack)
  • Experience in business capture, global sales and marketing or a related field
  • Knowledge of the domestic/international government acquisition process

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience interfacing directly with military officials and executives
  • 3+ years of experience in business capture, global sales and marketing or a related field
  • Experience with Government/DoD budget, investments and acquisition processes along with an understanding of legislative or Congressional activities
  • Ability to balance the enterprise, business unit, and customer goals to meet and drive the Long Range Business Plan (LRBP)
  • Good interpersonal, leadership, and management skills as well as relentless customer focus
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of the Government (political) - Defense Requirements and Acquisition processes
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range:
Level 3: $100,300 - $135,700
Level 4: $129,200 - $174,800
