BACKGROUND

Actionstep UK is innovating and growing faster than anyone else in the legal practice management software space. We've grown 25x since 2020 and we are targeting 100x growth by 2030. Yes, we have a market-leading SaaS solution. But what sets us apart is our people - highly-focused, strategic, resourceful and entrepreneurial. Our team is compact, our ambition is enormous, and the results speak for themselves. Trusted by hundreds of law firms across the UK, Actionstep is redefining how midsize legal practices run their business. The planets have aligned for Actionstep in the UK, and we need the right people to help us capitalise on the opportunity. This is a rare chance to join something very special at exactly the right moment. 25× growth since 2020

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will own the outbound engine that fuels Actionstep UK's next phase of growth - building the pipeline that our Account Executives convert into revenue.

• Own the outbound pipeline. Generate £2M+ of qualified pipeline annually through targeted outreach, events, referrals, networking, and partnerships across the UK legal market.

• Build the playbook. This is a new role - you will define and document how Actionstep does outbound in the UK. Test what works and sharpen it over time.

• Qualify with precision. Identify and qualify prospects against Actionstep's ideal customer profile, so Account Executives receive opportunities that are genuinely closeable.

• Partner with Account Executives. Run clean handoffs with full context; stay close to deal outcomes to continuously improve lead quality.

• Own your market. Build a deep network across UK law firms; represent Actionstep at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.

• Report on what matters. Track pipeline metrics, analyse what is working, and bring clear recommendations to the Sales Director.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• Annual quota for BDM-sourced ARR added to pipeline: £2,000,000 (to be re-evaluated annually)

• Annual quota for BDM-sourced ARR closed won: £800,000 (to be re-evaluated annually)

• 30 Days – Onboard to Actionstep; understand outbound sales process & ABM

• 60 Days – Crystallise outbound strategy for UK

• 90 Days – Generate £250,000 pipeline

Requirements

ABOUT YOU

You have built pipeline in competitive B2B SaaS markets, selling to senior stakeholders through long, complex sales cycles. You know that great outbound is a craft, not a numbers game.

Essential

• A proven track record of building high-quality outbound pipeline in B2B SaaS - not just hitting activity metrics, but generating deals that actually close.

• Genuine knowledge of and curiosity about the legal sector; you understand how law firms buy and what drives their decisions.

• Commercial instinct - you quickly assess whether a prospect is worth pursuing and act decisively on that judgement.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; you earn credibility with Managing Partners, Operations Directors, and CFOs quickly.

• Comfortable working with Salesforce and Outreach.io, or equivalent tools with a proven ability to ramp fast.

• Organised and self-motivated; you own your results without needing close management to perform.

Desirable

• Experience selling into UK law firms or professional services.

• An existing network in the UK legal market.

• Experience setting up an outbound function or sales playbook from scratch.

The honest part:

This is a new role with no inherited pipeline, no BDM team beside you, and ambitious targets. If you want a fully built system to plug into, this is probably not the right move. But if you want to own a function, define how it works, and prove what is possible in one of the UK’s most exciting growth stories - this is it.

• Optional London offices in WeWork
