You’ll focus on winning net-new clients for Thredd across the UK, Europe and MENA, in a role suited to someone motivated by targets, driven by performance, and keen to win new business in a fast-moving, competitive market.

You’ll build momentum by creating opportunities through your own outreach as well as inbound leads, and running full sales cycles through to close. It’s a role built around pace, ownership and delivery, with the opportunity to grow and scale with the business as we continue to expand.

What you’ll be doing as a Business Development Manager

  • Delivering new clients to Thredd by owning net-new sales and achieving your annual sales quota
  • Supporting and delivering your territory go-to-market plan, translating sales strategy into pipeline and signed business
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities to deliver in-year revenue and support the company’s wider growth ambitions
  • Working with partners across the ecosystem to originate opportunities and support the delivery of the sales plan
  • Taking full ownership of your sales target, with a consistent focus on hitting and exceeding your number
  • Using territory metrics and pipeline data to track performance and guide day-to-day sales activity
  • Keeping Salesforce and sales reporting accurate and up to date to support pipeline progression and financial forecasting
  • Representing Sales internally by sharing deal insight, customer context and market feedback across the business

What you’ll bring to the Business Development Manager position

  • Experience selling regulated or infrastructure-led products with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including issuers, BIN sponsorship, schemes, and processing partners
  • Ability to orchestrate complex internal deal teams and keep momentum through extended sales cycles
  • Proven track record of winning new business and delivering against a clear sales number, including larger, complex deal sizes
  • A consultative sales approach, with the ability to identify real client needs and shape tailored solutions
  • Confidence managing complex, long sales cycles end-to-end, from prospecting through to close
  • Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including senior decision-makers
  • Strong contract negotiation skills, focused on securing outcomes that work commercially for both the client and the business
  • Experience working cross-functionally on deal pursuits, partnering closely with solutions design and internal stakeholders to progress opportunities
  • Strong networking ability, with the confidence to build relationships at all levels, generate leads, and convert conversations into viable opportunities

Where you’ll work

Our working model varies depending on the specific role and team requirements. We strive to provide flexibility whilst ensuring that each position is best supported for optimal collaboration and performance.

This Business Development Manager position requires you to be in the London office (Holborn) two days per week.
