Why join ERIKS?

At ERIKS UK&I, our Hose Technology team is dedicated to keeping industry flowing safely and efficiently. We specialise in the design, manufacture, and supply of industrial hose assemblies and fittings, tailored to meet the demands of a wide range of sectors from food and beverage to chemical processing, manufacturing, and energy.

Our experts provide end-to-end support, from product selection and technical advice to onsite hose surveys, testing, and certification. Whether it's fluid transfer, chemical resistance, high-pressure applications or compliance with industry standards, we deliver hose solutions that reduce risk, increase uptime, and ensure safety in critical operations.

With a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service, ERIKS Hose Technology is the trusted partner to industries across the UK.

About the Role:

  • Planning - Assess opportunities, trends, and customer needs across the strategically targeted industries. Work towards achieving agreed annual revenue and margin goals for an agreed group of customers, maintaining a sales pipeline, regularly tracking progress.
  • Sales Development - Identify, prospect, and establish relationships with potential clients. Develop a deep understanding of ERIKS products and their applications. Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions by leveraging the company’s product portfolio. Serve as a technical advisor to clients, providing guidance on product specifications, performance, and application. Collaborate with the engineering and technical teams to customise product offerings for specific client requirements. Bespoke solutions should be triaged, expending technical resource only where success is likely to contribute significant profitable revenue, without exposing ERIKS to unnecessary enterprise risk. Prepare and present detailed proposals containing both features and benefits, plus value delivered by the product and commercial solution.
  • Relationship Management - Lead contractual negotiations and ensure the terms align with company objectives. With the support of Internal Sales teams, manage and nurture existing client relationships to drive repeat business and customer loyalty. Review customer revenue and service levels against contractual terms, ERIKS and client expectations. Ensure appropriate pricing strategies are employed, factoring in cost, margins, and market conditions.
  • Utilise management information systems (Pipeline, PowerBI & CRM) to manage leads, track sales activities, and maintain customer records.

Key Skills, Experience & Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, business administration, or in a related field is desirable.
  • Experience in business development or sales within the mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sector.

  • Experience with large-scale projects, negotiations, and technical product solutions.
  • Ability to close deals, develop long-term relationships, and handle objections effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a consultative approach to sales.
