Key Responsibilities

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building a strong sales pipeline, and successfully converting prospects into long-term customers. You will act as a subject matter expert for the Vision platform, working closely with both commercial and operational teams to ensure customers receive an exceptional experience from initial sale through to implementation.

You will engage with stakeholders at all levels, from Transport Managers through to Board Directors, demonstrating how Vision can deliver value, improve compliance, and support business growth.

  • Identifying and developing new opportunities for the Vision platform across prospective customers.
  • Building, managing, and converting a robust sales pipeline to achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Working closely with Commercial and Operational teams to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within our existing customer base.
  • Delivering engaging presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to customers at all levels.
  • Supporting the successful onboarding and implementation of new customers to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Acting as the Vision product specialist, providing support, guidance, and expertise to the wider commercial team.
  • Gathering market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor insights to help shape future product development and service offerings.
  • Representing Logistics UK at trade shows, industry events, seminars, and networking opportunities.
  • Supporting tender submissions and commercial proposals for new and existing contracts.
  • Identifying opportunities for wider Logistics UK services and referring leads through our CRM system.

Requirements

We are looking for a commercially focused individual who enjoys building relationships, understanding customer challenges, and developing solutions that deliver real value.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a Business Development, Account Management, or consultative sales role.
  • Strong pipeline management and track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
  • Strong relationship building and networking abilities.
  • Comfortable delivering presentations, demonstrations, and proposals.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience selling SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions.
  • Knowledge of fleet management, operator licensing, or transport compliance.
  • Understanding of drivers' hours legislation and tachograph compliance.
  • Experience operating within the logistics, transport, or fleet sector.

We welcome applications from candidates based anywhere in the UK; however, those located in or around the Midlands would be particularly well positioned for the role.

All applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel extensively across the UK as required. This role involves regular travel to meet customers, attend industry events, and support business development activities nationwide.
