We are looking for a Business Development Manager for Spain to join the European sales team.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

The local Business Developer is responsible for driving Capri Sun’s market growth and brand visibility in Spain by translating strategy into local execution. Acting as the key link between the EU2 team and the Spanish distributor, this role ensures commercial plans are implemented effectively — from securing new customers and listings to delivering perfect in-store execution.

The role combines strong commercial drive with hands-on market activation, local insight generation, and close collaboration with both distributor teams and internal stakeholders.

LOCATION

Spain - hybrid setup, 60% in the market meeting customers, 40% coordination from home or distributor office (Girona)

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive market growth by winning new customers, expanding distribution, opening new channels/SKUs, and increasing visibility and execution at POS
  • Prospect and develop new accounts through pipeline management, tailored proposals and presentations, and structured follow-up on leads
  • Build and manage strong relationships with key buyers, category managers, and distributor KAMs; support annual negotiations together with local distributor, new listings, and promotional planning.
  • Act as the daily interface between headquarters and the distributor, aligning priorities, coordinating execution, and ensuring delivery of the Joint Business Plan (JBP).
  • Develop and execute local activation and promotional plans in collaboration with EU2, distributor field sales, and local agencies; adapt global toolkits and share local activation ideas.
  • Monitor sales performance and key KPIs, conduct regular calls and monthly reviews with distributor KAM teams, and prepare Quarterly Business Reviews to track results and corrective actions.
  • Provide local market insights, competitor/price/positioning updates, forecasting input, and regular business updates to head office while ensuring compliance with company guidelines.

YOUR PROFILE

  • 7+ years of commercial experience in FMCG (ideally in beverages)
  • You have a proven track record of managing (as a KAM or sales manager) modern trade and/or discounters in Spain - experience on both producer and distributor side is beneficial
  • You have strong negotiation skills, are analytical and easily connect with people
  • You are a collaborative team player able to build strong bridges and trust between EU2, distributor and local customers and mobilise them to common JBP goals
  • You are proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Your mindset is entrepreneurial and ownership enabling you to act as the “country owner” for Spain
  • You are commercially savvy being able to turn strategy into visible in-store sales results
  • You are a results-orientated person with strong focus on driving business growth and achieving targets
  • Flexibility to travel as needed within Spain
  • Comfortable working independently in a hybrid/remote setup
  • Native in Spanish and fluency in English are required
