This is a great opportunity to work across all of Samsung’s UK business and through consumer orientated business development and partner management leadership shape the future of partnerships through Samsung in the UK market.
The Samsung Services UK team is working across the division delivering Samsung Services such as insurance (Samsung Care+), digital pay and non-payment functionality (Samsung Wallet) and on device revenue partnerships to the UK market. The team interacts closely with the European Services team (UK/Chertsey) and the Headquarters (Korea) team to ensure success.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

Partnerships Strategy

  • Identification and research of potential partners, opportunities and suppliers.

  • Align with Corporate office & European teams to ensure we are a lead market to test & optimise new propositions, crafting the best in class experience for Samsung customers.

  • Development of pitch materials, managing the full sales cycle to promote Samsung Services (Pay, Wallet, Health)

Partner Development

  • Negotiating new business to secure Wallet & Pay partners, adding functionality and growing revenue & engagement through the programme.

  • Nurture and develop relationships with existing portfolio of accounts – track & optimise performance, manage partner roadmap & future proposition.

Drive Innovation

  • Identify new market opportunities & growth sectors across Samsung Wallet & Samsung Pay programmes

  • Champion & sponsor new functionality & partners to support product & proposition development

What we need for this role

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience in Wallet/Payment space preferred

  • Enjoys developing and delivering long term vision and strategy, in an environment that is fast paced, fluid and evolving.

  • Excellent relationship management skills

  • Detail orientated with a dynamic approach to workload and projects

  • Plans ahead thoroughly and lays out clear achievements

  • Effectively prioritises across multiple organisations and projects

  • Likes ambiguity and the challenge of simplifying problems to meet consumer needs

  • Experience in a complicated matrix structure of inter related teams and lead to ensure that customer needs are met

  • Future focused, always looking to identify and leverage consumer grounded opportunities for future profitable growth

What does success look like?

  • Full pipeline of partners across Samsung Services

  • A balance of partners utilising existing formats and developing new formats alongside partner and Services product team.

  • Strong relationships with channels, customers, technical specialists, executive management and the industry to position Samsung’s Services as market leading

  • Market analytical output

  • Stress tested business cases and retrospectives to attribute projects to KPIs

The interview process

2-3 stages, initial call with hiring manager & final presentation & task with peers from the team
