Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to own the growth and success of our customs solution in the market. This is a hybrid role that combines business development, project management, and product expertise. You will work closely with Sales, Key Account Management, and Product teams to bring new clients on board and make sure our customs offering keeps getting better. A core part of this role is driving the next wave of automation at Seven Senders — using AI tools such as Claude (Cowork and Claude Code) to automate client onboarding and recurring operational workflows.

Qualifications

The essence of your role

  • Own the success of our customs solution as a product, managing its performance and growth in the market.
  • Guide clients from initial prospecting through to successful implementation, making sure every stage runs smoothly.
  • Join client meetings with the Sales team as a subject matter expert, showcasing the value of our customs solution.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Key Account Managers to design and deliver custom solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
  • Contribute ideas to improve our customs SaaS application, working closely with the Product team to stay competitive and aligned with customer needs.
  • Drive the next wave of automation in customer onboarding: design and implement workflows with AI tools such as Claude (Cowork, Claude Code) to automate documentation, onboarding steps, and repetitive operational tasks — making onboarding faster and more scalable over time. 

This is what you need to succeed 

  • University degree (Bachelor or Master), ideally in Business Administration (BWL), Economics (VWL), Management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen), or a comparable analytical discipline — with a strong academic track record. 
  • Experience in business development, project management, or account management; a background in logistics, customs, or a related field is a big plus
  • Analytically strong, highly motivated, and a true self-starter — you identify topics, structure them, and drive them forward on your own initiative, without waiting to be told. 
  • Hands-on affinity for AI tools: ideally you are already using Claude (Cowork, Claude Code) or comparable LLM-based tools in your daily work, and excited to push the boundary of what can be automated in a commercial role. 
  • Fluency in German (C1+) and English is required, as you will be communicating with clients and our customs team daily
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to keep multiple workstreams organised and drive them to completion
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and convince across different levels
