Due to internal promotion in our UK AECO business sector, we are now seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Enterprise sales team. 

In this role, you will focus on high value and/or complex sales in the Construction Sector. Our various BIM products are some of the most widely used and well thought of digital construction platforms in the sector. Billions of pounds of construction projects are currently being built or managed using our software.. 

Our Business Development Manager position is your opportunity to join the Sales team of  a marketing leading software company, with excellent brand recognition. Our reputation starts the conversation but to be successful in this role you must be an excellent communicator who understands the sales cycle and can sell the benefits of our products not just the features. You must be able to influence senior decision makers and have the capacity to tailor your approach to the client.

You will cross-sell and upsell to existing customers as well as identify new potential business from businesses which have trialled our software, those that have requested additional information and those met through industry events. You will be supported by a team of Sales Development Representatives, providing quantified (warm) leads as well as a team of Sales Engineers and other colleagues who can assist you in providing product demonstrations to potential customers.

We will provide you with all of the tools and support to be successful in this position but to be successful, you will leverage your deep understanding of enterprise sales and your ability to build and maintain strong relationships to achieve sales targets and contribute to Trimble’s success.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target potential enterprise customers in the UK and Ireland

  • Develop those accounts with further upsell and cross selling opportunities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations

  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations to showcase the value of Trimble's project and field management solutions software solutions

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product management, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to effectively position Trimble's solutions

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts using CRM software

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in enterprise sales, both new logo and existing accounts, preferably within the SaaS software industry

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level executives and decision-makers

  • Self-motivated, result-driven, and ability to work independently

  • Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and Ireland as needed

  • Understanding of Tekla and Viewpoint software are beneficial

Desirable Skills & Experience You Should Bring:

  • Formal sales training, knowledge and understanding of Challenger sales model or similar

  • Working background within the digital construction sector
