Business Development Manager - Gas 

Location: Switzerland or Remote (EMEA)

While this role can be performed remotely, we are prioritizing candidates based in Switzerland or those authorized to work in Switzerland. Please note that we are not considering applicants requiring relocation or visa sponsorship at this time.
Role Summary

Assess and develop expert knowledge of the market and customer requirements within the relevant applications of Picarro’s markets in the EU / EMEA region

Market review

  • Identify regulatory structures and guidelines within our target markets and acquire the necessary know-how for the Picarro solution to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Define (together with sales and senior management) the strategy to target potential customers (conferences, Email campaigns, customer visits, field trials etc.)
  • Evaluate and monitor the competitive landscape and create compelling Sales and Marketing tools and business intelligence.

Market development & regulatory acceptance of Picarro’s solutions

  • Channel customer and regulatory feedback
  • Provide input to Picarro product management and engineering to further develop the Picarro products.
  • Support customers in their work with the regulator and help to increase regulatory acceptance of the Picarro solutions.
  • Develop technical guidance and support the creation of industry standards (DIN, CEN,…) to increase market penetration and establish Picarro as an industry leader.
  • Identify opportunities and define methods to improve the analytics tools and platforms.

Strategic customer and business partner acquisition, and continuing to build our network.

Operational excellence

  • Define/Develop new tools to improve customer experience and internal efficiency.
  • Refine existing methodologies to meet the specific customer requirements.
  • Support account management of existing customers in collaboration with the field applications engineer, client program manager, and sales team.
  • Support the organization of field trials and define their objectives and deliverables.
  • Identify strategies and partner companies to meet the operational requirements of our customers.

Salary & Benefits:

Our total compensation packages include base salary, bonus eligibility, and equity.
