About you

Are you passionate about data and its transformational powers? Do you like being able to make a huge difference in a limited period of time? We might be just the right place for you.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Business Development Manager (BDM) will support Dot Collective’s growth by identifying, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities. The role focuses on building a healthy, well-qualified pipeline, developing strong client relationships, and contributing to the successful closure of consulting and delivery engagements across data, cloud, and AI services.

The BDM will manage opportunities through the sales lifecycle with guidance and support from the Head of Sales, working closely with delivery, and leadership teams to shape clear, client-focused propositions and ensure smooth handover into delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of the sales and business development strategy defined by the Head of Sales
  • Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, inbound leads, and partner channels
  • Build and develop relationships with client stakeholders, supporting colleagues in executive-level engagements where required
  • Manage opportunities through the sales lifecycle, including qualification, solution shaping, proposal development, and contribution to commercial discussions
  • Coordinate with consulting and delivery teams to produce high-quality proposals, statements of work, and supporting materials
  • Maintain accurate pipeline records, forecasts, and activity updates using agreed sales processes and tools
  • Support bid activity and opportunity governance, ensuring inputs are timely, well-structured, and aligned to client needs
  • Capture client feedback and market insight to inform service development and continuous improvement

About you:

  • Experience in business development, account development, or consulting-led sales within technology, data, or digital services
  • Proven ability to contribute to building and progressing a qualified sales pipeline
  • Strong consultative selling skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at multiple levels of an organisation
  • Commercial awareness, with experience supporting proposals, pricing discussions, and contractual documentation
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Clear communicator with good presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, organised, and motivated, with a willingness to learn and grow in a sales-focused role

Experience and Background:

  • Experience selling or supporting the sale of professional services or technology solutions
  • Working knowledge of data, cloud, and modern digital platforms
  • Exposure to partner or alliance-led selling is beneficial but not essential
  • Comfortable operating in a growing consultancy environment with evolving processes

Our promise to you

We will always see you as a human being and will do our very best to support your needs and wellbeing – well-designed co-working and collaboration spaces, remote working patterns that work for you, parenting leave, sabbaticals and ability to work on personal projects.

We believe that a geled team is worth its weight in gold – we will do everything we can to avoid breaking well-performing teams. Whilst continuity across every project is not always possible, we thoughtfully assemble high-performing, blended teams with the appropriate levels of experience and expertise to deliver the best outcomes for our clients — and teams you’ll enjoy working with.

We are committed to prioritising the wellbeing of our employees. To fulfill this promise, we provide a comprehensive employee wellbeing program that includes mental health support, flexible working arrangements, wellness activities, and a positive work culture.

We recognise that the world of tech delivery has moved on significantly in the last 15 years and know a thing or two about how to bring projects over the line without experiencing lots of despair and burn-out. In fact, we like to believe that our projects are the opposite of that – they are run smoothly and most of the time are fun to work on.
