Business Development Executive – Acrisure Trade Credit Insurance

About the role:

As a Business Development Executive, you will take a leading role in expanding Acrisure’s Trade Credit Insurance portfolio across the UK mid‑market. This is a consultative, relationship‑driven role where you will identify, create and convert new business opportunities while representing Acrisure at the highest professional standard.

You’ll leverage your experience in trade credit insurance, banking or invoice finance to help UK businesses trade with confidence, secure working capital and protect cash flow—positioning Acrisure as a trusted partner in a fast‑evolving economic landscape.

Responsibilities:

Business Development & Pipeline Growth

  • Build, manage and grow a high‑quality new business pipeline.
  • Proactively identify and target prospects through research, referrals, data analysis and relationship development.
  • Develop strong relationships within the trade credit market and wider financial ecosystem (banks, invoice finance providers, advisers).

Client Engagement & Conversion

  • Meet prospects to understand their trading profile, credit exposures and commercial goals.
  • Deliver high‑impact presentations, proposals and risk assessments.
  • Negotiate terms confidently with insurers and communicate recommendations clearly to clients.

Collaboration & Market Presence

  • Work closely with Acrisure’s Trade Credit leadership and Account Executives to ensure seamless onboarding and excellent client experience.
  • Represent Acrisure at industry events, networking forums, and partner meetings.
  • Champion best practice across regulatory standards, compliance and documentation.

Commercial Delivery

  • Achieve individual new business income targets.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting and insight on market trends.
  • Contribute to divisional growth strategy and cross‑sell opportunities across the Acrisure UK network.

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Trade Credit Insurance, banking, invoice finance or related credit‑risk financial services.
  • Proven success in B2B new business development and consultative selling.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk, financial statements, debtor profiles and working capital structures.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to own and grow your market.
  • Comfortable working independently while thriving in a high‑performance, collaborative culture.
