About Us

We are Alpha – an award-winning FTSE 250 financial services firm. Recognised by the Financial Times as one of the fastest growing companies in Europe, we are a team of 500, and have achieved this by placing people and culture at the heart of our business. With a high-quality client base and the backing of some of the world’s most respected investors, we pride ourselves on not only providing the best service but also the best career opportunities.

Now operating across multiple overseas jurisdictions, and servicing clients in over 40 countries, the opportunity for career growth and development is greater than ever before. We’re only just getting started too, so if you’re an ambitious individual who’s ready to make an impact, we’d like to hear from you.

The Opportunity

Alpha is seeking ambitious individuals who are dedicated to changing their lives by working in a challenging but highly rewarding sales role. You will be part of our Private Markets Sales Academy focused on Alternative Banking sales, a brand-new sales engine within a larger business that is constantly growing.

The Academy

Alpha’s Academy is the ideal place to develop yourself and gain momentum in your career. You will build your own portfolio of business and drive our scaling ambitions, inheriting and passing on Alpha’s DNA. We will teach you the skillset you need and nurture your mindset using our sales operating rhythm and accompanying toolsets. You will graduate the Academy when you have shown you can help teach the next generation of recruits. In this manner Alpha will retain its DNA and the agility and energy of a fast-growing start-up.

You will be selling our Alternative Banking Solution (ABS) to private market fund managers. You will also be setting-up cross-selling opportunities for other product divisions including Risk Management, Fund Finance and Multi-bank connectivity.

Sales and finance experience is not a prerequisite. If you are committed, ambitious and eager to take a step up, then we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Building, nurturing and optimising high-value client relationships is essential to the role. Creating genuine connections with many key contacts is pivotal to success. Responsibilities include:

  • Increasing our market share by hunting new business opportunities (via cold calling) in the private markets space, speaking directly with fund managers.
  • You will take responsibility for wallet share by providing additional value to existing clients through other elements of Alpha’s suite of products.
  • You will learn your clients’ businesses in detail and work to explore and uncover key problems and challenges. That knowledge will dictate how you support them with Alpha's services.
  • You will work closely with peers and leaders within Alpha to ensure the right outcomes for your portfolio of business.

About You

As we continue to grow, we are looking to keep our culture at the forefront. Therefore, we instead look for the following characteristics over experience/qualifications:

  • Curiosity.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Competitive urgency.
  • Ability to take feedback onboard instantly.
  • Ambition/motivation to develop both personally and professionally.
  • Humility.
  • High level of emotional intelligence.
  • Organisation - ability to multi-task successfully.

What We Offer

  • Mentoring, coaching, and sponsored learning and development.
  • Private medical insurance covering employees and their families following voluntary opt in.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity policies.
  • Access to free online counselling via BetterHelp.
  • Cycle-to-work Scheme.
  • Electric Vehicle Scheme.
  • Workplace Nursery Benefit.
  • Pension scheme with Aegon.
  • Office fitted out with:
    • Access to state-of-the-art gym.
    • Onsite PT.
    • Free breakfast.
    • Free bar for Friday drinks.
