The Business Development Executive will identify new business oppotunities and support organic growth on current business performed by the European commercial team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Business Development Director on developing new business leads.
- Follow up on internal business chasers
- Identify and develop leads through various IT systems, using available tools to build customer portfolios to ascertain growth opportunities
- Handle day to day enquiries to learn the shipping and bunker business
Key Requirements:
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Positive and detailed work ethic
- Ability to communicate with people in senior and junior roles, and from differing backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 2nd language useful but not essential
- Some shipping experience, in bunkering, operations, chartering, agency would be preferred but not essential
- Shipping/business degree as a minimum with a sales focus
- University degree preferred
Geographic Scope & Travel Requirements:
- Hybrid role working from both Canary Wharf Office and Home office.
- Occassional European Travel should be expected.
