  • Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, the global and EMEA home of the group’s duty free, air travel and cruises business.
  • The Absolut Group, the brand owner of our global white spirits portfolio, whose Gin brand unit and Business Acceleration team sit in London.

Your new team

This position sits in our Pernod Ricard UK (PRUK) business. The UK market is a well-developed, competitive environment with a number of large competitors selling to very well-developed trade segments. The On Trade consists of over 100,000 licensed premises supplied by a number of large national and many small regional wholesalers. Pernod Ricard UK manages the On Trade through 4 aligned business units - Field Sales, Prestige, Managed Retail and Route To Market. The On trade remains a vibrant channel to engage consumers and has seen positive value growth in recent years. Thus the channel is an important contributor to the profit of Pernod Ricard in the UK as well as playing a vital role in building the equity of our brands with consumers.

Your unique contribution

You will have 3 main areas of responsibility:

Maximise: availability, visibility and ROS to targeted On Trade customers for Pernod Ricard strategic brands within a designated post code territory. With a specific focus on helping drive share in line with London Focus growth targets.

Work in Collaboration: with Brand Ambassadors, Customer Marketing and the wider London Field Sales team to grow contract compliance, share of presence and ultimately volume with our key independent free trade customers.

London Focus: Assist in driving volume, engagement and distribution forward to achieve and grow PRUK share of the London On Trade market supported by focus on additional premium brands (agave and champagne) 

Who you’ll be working with

Internally, you’ll work with the Field Sales Manager and Channel Manager, Regional CAEs, Brand Managers, Customer Marketing Managers and Brand Ambassadors.

Externally, your contacts will be with Route to Market wholesalers, customers and consumers.

Your blend of talent

This position could be right for you if you:

  • Ability to engage with and develop existing and new business opportunities within independent on-trade outlets and small groups in North London with focus on driving PRUK’s premium spirits and champagne portfolio
  • Are self-motivated, work well both individually and as part of a team, and are focussed on achieving personal and team KPI's
  • Are able to build strong relationships both internally (Customer Marketing, Category, Route to Market and wider commercial teams) and externally with customers and route to market contacts
  • Are driven and have a good understanding of the FMCG and wider Hospitality industry (including main players and competitors in Beers, Wines and Spirits)
  • Can learn and work effectively with new systems, including data gathering tools, planning tools, P&Ls as well as Excel, PowerPoint and Office
  • Are open and authentic, collaborative and focused on success
  • Can evaluate activity to determine effectiveness and aim to take a measure of objectives (SMART).
  • Are convivial, flexible and keen to be part of a major Spirits company, focused on driving market share and success with a strong focus on doing so Sustainably and Responsibly
