We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Executive to join our growing Industry team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, enjoys researching, outbound calling, and is motivated by uncovering new business opportunities.

You’ll be the first point of contact for many of our prospective clients, creating qualified leads and booking meaningful meetings for our Estimating Team.

Please note the following:

  • This is not a closing/sales role; your success comes from opening doors, not closing deals.
  • This is a fully office‑based role, not hybrid.
  • A great fit for someone who enjoys teamwork, structure, and high-quality customer interactions.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Making 10–25 outbound calls per day to professionals such as Site Managers, Project Managers, QS Managers, Estimators, Pre‑Construction teams, Buyers and H&S leads within the Industry sector, covering Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Renewables and more.
  • Speaking with around 10 decision‑makers per day once settled into the role.
  • Building strong relationships by asking smart, targeted questions.
  • Using LinkedIn and other tools to research and source new contacts.
  • Tracking down upcoming projects and identifying where we can support clients on site.
  • Securing high‑quality leads and arranging meetings for our Estimating Team.
  • Working towards KPIs and contributing positively to a collaborative, values‑driven team culture.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in researching, outbound calling, business development or a sales environment.
  • Confident, articulate and clear speaking voice with the ability to create rapport quickly.
  • Resilience, persistence and a proactive attitude. Patience as you grow your network and contacts.
  • Smart, professional appearance and strong communication skills.
  • Prepared and well‑researched, someone who takes initiative.
  • Strong work ethic.

How Success Is Measured

  • Quality of meaningful conversations concluded daily.
  • Growth of contacts and relationships within target companies.
  • Quality and volume of meetings booked and enquiries generated.

Benefits

• Competitive Base Salary.

• Growth by Sharing Bonus Scheme + Individual KPIs for OTE.

• 23 Days Annual Leave (increasing with service) + Bank Holidays.

• Remuneration Package Reviewed Annually.

• Pension Scheme - Auto Enrolment.

• Private Healthcare - Available after successful completion of probation.

• Employee Assistance Program Line.

• 2 Annual Volunteering days.

• Free Friday Lunch.

• Performance-Orientated Business where you can add real value from day one.
