Supporting the Insurance Distribution function, we're recruiting for a Business Development Director! This is a brilliant role for someone with deep client facing relationship management and or Business Development experience within asset management.

A bit about the job:

This client-facing role is ideal for someone who thrives on building and deepening relationships, driving new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional client service. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Insurance and supported by a dedicated client relationship management team within our wider Distribution network across the UK & Ireland, Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific, you’ll play a key role in managing existing clients, identifying growth opportunities, and leading prospect pitches and marketing initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Distribution and investment teams to support business growth, contribute to sales and business planning, and represent Aviva Investors at industry events. Your insights will help shape our products and services, ensuring we remain responsive to client needs and market developments.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Investment Management Certificate (IMC) qualification required (both Units 1 and 2).
  • Ideally both Private and Public markets distribution experience.
  • A proven track record in sales, entrepreneurial mindset and drive to deliver commercial results.
  • Deep understanding of key investor issues including detailed understanding of the investment and regulatory challenges facing UK institutional investors and insurer investors' opportunities.
  • Ability to take responsibility for maintaining a high-performance culture, and ensuring operations and investment activities are conducted and controlled in an appropriate manner.
