Daintta are a rapidly growing, values-driven team of specialists who work with government clients across Cyber Security, National Security, Law Enforcement, Telecommunications, Defence, Science and Technology. The Business Consultant supports the definition, analysis and delivery of business-led change within secure public organisations. The role bridges operational users, policy stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business needs, operational outcomes and change impacts are clearly understood and translated into achievable solutions.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Elicit, analyse and document business, operational and user requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops with operational users, technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Produce requirements documentation, process maps, user stories, use cases and other analysis artefacts.
  • Assess current and target operating models, processes and capabilities; identify gaps, impacts and improvement opportunities.
  • Translate operational needs into actionable requirements and support assessment of solution options.
  • Develop and coordinate business change, adoption, communications, training and operational readiness activities.
  • Support testing, acceptance, transition and business readiness, maintaining traceability through to delivered outcomes.
  • Engage stakeholders, manage dependencies and support benefits realisation and adoption measurement.

Skills/Knowledge

The role requires the following key skills / knowledge, non-exhaustively:

  • Business analysis, requirements engineering and requirements management.
  • Process modelling, operational analysis and capability assessment.
  • Business change, stakeholder engagement, communications and workshop facilitation.
  • Agile and traditional delivery approaches.
  • Impact assessment, transition planning, business readiness and benefits management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Enterprise Architect or similar analysis/modelling tools.
  • Previous business analysis and/or business change experience within defence, security, policing, central government or secure public-sector programmes.
  • Experience working with cross-government, multi-agency or multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with secure environments, their governance processes and operational constraints.

Location?

Infrequent days working from Daintta office as required.
