Job Description

The Business Change Manager (BCM) will play a critical role in delivering the Information Protection Programme (IPP), supporting the rollout of Microsoft Purview Information Protection (MPIP) across the M365 estate.

This role focuses on enabling organisational change, reducing data breach risk through Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities, and ensuring successful user adoption with minimal disruption to operations.

The BCM will lead the Change Workstream, working closely with stakeholders, programme leadership, and business users to design and deliver effective change, communication, and training strategies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the Change Workstream, including planning, roadmap development, and delivery of key milestones
  • Define and manage change deliverables, including timelines, resources, and cost estimates
  • Engage stakeholders across the organisation and build strong relationships with business units
  • Conduct user research and business impact assessments to inform change strategy
  • Develop and deliver communications strategies, plans, and key messaging
  • Design and implement training strategies, including development of training materials and CBT modules
  • Establish and manage user focus groups to gather feedback and improve adoption
  • Provide Day-1 user support and develop sustainable post-implementation support models
  • Identify, manage, and report risks, issues, and progress to programme boards
  • Lead and coordinate the Change team to ensure effective delivery
  • Collaborate with other programmes and adapt to evolving priorities

Qualifications

Essential

  • Proven experience as a Business Change Manager or Change Lead in large-scale transformation programmes
  • Strong understanding of change management methodologies (e.g. Prosci, ADKAR)
  • Recent experience of working on government projects to ensure alignment with public sector standards and practices
  • Experience delivering technology-driven change (preferably within M365 environments)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead stakeholder engagement and user adoption strategies
  • Experience in communications and training strategy development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be willing to do UK-based travel for projects
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Must hold an active UK Security Clearance

Desirable

  • Experience with Microsoft Purview or Information Protection solutions
  • Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) frameworks
  • Experience working in government or highly regulated environments
  • Familiarity with organisational change in security or compliance programmes
