Position Summary

The role of the European Visual Office (EVO) organisation is to provide guidance, coordination, and leadership on behalf of our HQ in Suwon and in support of the European sales and marketing subsidiaries! As such the EVO team is works very closely with the internal partners and is the central team driving the localisation of the global sales and marketing strategy for TV/Sound Device. EVO focuses on the retail and online channels to deliver the sales results through excellent execution of the consumer proposition.
We are looking for a Business Analyst to support the team in commercial and product marketing decision making, refine internal processes and improve information sharing with the subsidiaries, Suwon HQ and European Office.
Fresh business and market insights are critical to Samsung maintaining our leadership within the European TV/AV market. You will be responsible for supporting the team with the aggregation and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to facilitate strategic decision making through an understanding of market trends, key competitor insights, and business performance.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

Weekly / Monthly Reporting

  • Manage the weekly / monthly reporting process for TV & Sound Device

  • Collaborating closely with PM team to investigate market trend and competition

  • Support EVO team with weekly / monthly reporting of KPI data to support the target achievement (Sales, market share, etc.) – Ensuring accurate, timely and robust sales and market data is provided.

  • Streamline internal reporting systems and processes to achieve team efficiencies.

Ad-hoc Reporting

  • For various strategy meetings, supporting the Business Intelligence, Product, and Commercial teams with fresh business performance and market insights to facilitate short-term tactical, and mid-term strategic decision making.

  • Compile business strategy documents of own accord, and work across team functions to support empirical comprehension of fact based sales risk and opportunity scenarios.

What we need for this role

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Korean language proficiency would be advantageous as a significant amount of information and resources relevant to this position are available in Korean.

  • Ensure data produced by internal and external functions has commercial context and is timely and accurate.

  • Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills.

  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are essential.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.

  • Thorough in process and passionate about accuracy with a desire to make continuous improvement.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and quickly adapt to changing priorities and processes.

What does success look like?

Ability to switch between details orientation and helicopter view depending on audience with the ability to pro-actively identify and recommend solutions for business efficiencies / opportunities. You will also have a solid understanding of the European TV & Sound Device business to be able to provide the relevant reports with insights for senior managements at the right time.

Success will be evaluated based on the efficiency and accuracy of business reports produced a regular basis and also for the ad-hoc tasks. Various analysis reports will also be prepared to support the strategic decisions / actionable items. Behaviours that should be visible will be requiring little direction with the ability to prioritise and work flexibly and effectively in complex, constantly evolving environments. You will also be a great teammate with the ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively with strong analytical and problem solving skills and commitment and ‘can do’ demeanour and proactive self starter.
