Business Analyst / Techno-Functional Consultant - Life Insurance (Premia)

The role involves analyzing life insurance processes, gathering requirements, supporting system implementations, conducting testing, and providing functional support in life insurance systems, particularly Premia.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Techno-Functional Consultant with strong knowledge of Individual Life Insurance (Ind Life) and ULIP products. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with life insurance policy administration systems, preferably Premia, and be capable of bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand life insurance processes and product requirements, particularly Individual Life and ULIP products.
- Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical documentation.
- Support implementation and configuration of life insurance core systems, preferably Premia.
- Collaborate with development and testing teams to ensure correct implementation of business requirements.
- Conduct gap analysis, system impact analysis, and solution design.
- Participate in SIT and UAT testing, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
- Provide functional support during production issues, enhancements, and system upgrades.
- Prepare documentation including BRD, FRD, process flows, and user manuals.
- Strong understanding of Individual Life Insurance products, including ULIP (Unit Linked Insurance Plans).
- Experience working with life insurance core systems.
- Knowledge of policy lifecycle, underwriting, policy servicing, claims, and premium management.
- Experience in business analysis, requirement gathering, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work with technical teams and translate functional requirements into system specifications.
- Experience in Agile or Waterfall project environments.
- Hands-on experience with Premia Insurance System.
- Exposure to insurance integrations, APIs, or reporting tools.
- Experience working on digital transformation or system implementation projects in the insurance domain.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
