About the role...

We are seeking a driven, insight-oriented Business Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will leverage your strong analytical skills, business acumen, and consulting mindset to tackle high-impact analyses that inform strategic decisions. A core aspect of this position is designing and developing predictive analytics models that the commercial team will use to guide go-to-market strategies. You will also oversee the implementation of these models, ensuring they are fully operationalized and deliver tangible growth for Synthesia.

Responsibilities:

  1. Data Investigation & Predictive Modeling
    • Lead end-to-end analytical projects, from scoping the problem to delivering insights and actionable outputs.
    • Build, validate, and maintain predictive analytics models (e.g., regression, classification, time-series forecasting) tailored to support commercial initiatives such churn prediction and lead prioritization.
    • Conduct in-depth root-cause analyses to isolate key drivers behind complex business challenges, and provide recommendations backed by data-driven evidence.
  2. Commercial-Focused Deliverables
    • Collaborate closely with the commercial team (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success) to understand their goals and identify how predictive models can address their needs.
    • Ensure models and dashboards are designed for usability, enabling the commercial team to take immediate, data-informed actions.
    • Establish clear documentation and training materials so commercial stakeholders can confidently leverage the models in their daily workflows.
  3. Strategic Communication & Storytelling
    • Engage with executives and department heads to align on business requirements and articulate how predictive models can drive strategic outcomes.
    • Transform complex analytics into compelling narratives and interactive visualizations (e.g., BI dashboards) that inspire stakeholder buy-in.
    • Communicate model outcomes, assumptions, and limitations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  4. Implementation & Change Management
    • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Marketing, Sales) to deploy and continuously refine predictive models in day-to-day business operations.
    • Lead change management efforts to ensure adoption of new analytical tools and track the performance of models against key metrics.
    • Establish iterative feedback loops to enhance model accuracy and relevance based on commercial team insights.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience & Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, STEM, or a related field. An advanced degree or MBA is preferred.
    • Proven experience in management consulting, strategy, or analytics roles focused on data-driven decision-making.
    • Demonstrated ability to build, operationalize, and iterate on predictive models in a commercial setting.
  2. Technical Aptitude
    • Proficiency in SQL and advanced analytical tools (e.g., Python, R, Excel).
    • Experience with BI platforms (e.g.Looker, Tableau, Power BI) to develop dashboards and visualize model outputs.
    • Comfortable interpreting complex datasets, designing experiments, and presenting actionable insights to cross-functional teams.
  3. Consultative & Interpersonal Skills
    • Proven success in influencing senior-level decisions, leading workshops, and facilitating stakeholder discussions.
    • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to navigate organizational complexities and build trust among diverse teams.
    • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple concurrent initiatives and deliver impactful solutions on time.
