We are looking for a Business Analyst (Customer)

Location: London (Hybrid) with 2 days a week in the London Soho Square office        

Reporting to: Business Architect & Business Analysis Lead 

Business Unit: Product Development 

The Role 

This role is a fantastic opportunity to join Rightmove as a Business Analyst, supporting the Customer domain in delivering value-add features and journeys that help Estate and Letting Agents, New Homes Developers, Rental Operators and other key Customers make the most of their Rightmove products and services.
Working across multiple Product teams, you will have the opportunity be get involved at all stages of the Product Delivery lifecycle, from initial Discovery to shaping new initiatives, and supporting delivery.

The Business Analyst role will work closely with Heads of Product and Product Managers, as well as with Engineers, Designers, Architects and broader stakeholders.

What you'll be doing: 

  • Carrying out Discovery analysis for a new product or feature, and presenting your findings back to the Head of Product or relevant Product Manager
  • Identifying and assessing potential use cases for AI-driven efficiencies
  • Analysing transaction data to identify trends that can help drive product enhancements
  • Investigating system components to understand usage trends and recommend whether they should be decommissioned or retained
  • Helping to shape a new initiative to ensure there is sufficient clarity and understanding to move into delivery
  • Attending sprint meetings and ceremonies
  • Creating user stories and acceptance criteria for upcoming sprints, and ensuring that any cross-system or cross product impacts or dependencies have been identified
  • Supporting the acceptance testing of a new feature where you were responsible for detailing the user story
  • Working with other Business Analysts to help them define the best approach for a piece of work, and providing them with guidance and feedback as they deliver it
  • Presenting to the wider BA team on a recent challenge, and identifying service improvements or individual development areas based on discussion and feedback

 What you’ll bring to the role:

  • A history of delivering a high-quality analysis service to your customers, utilising a range of techniques including problem and opportunity analysis, impact assessments, requirements engineering, process and journey mapping and improvement, data modelling and analysis, and solution assessment and design
  • A habit of not just reacting to demand for Business Analysis, but generating it by proactively identifying problems or opportunities
  • Experience of working within a Product/agile environment, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Designers, and Engineers and Testers
  • Experience of working with Customer-facing technology solutions, including packaged SaaS solutions and built microservices
  • An understanding of the criticality of data in decision-making, and a willingness to source and analyse large data sets to identify trends, patterns and root causes
  • Experience of taking an ambiguous scenario and through rigorous analysis and evaluation, shaping it into something actionable
  • Strong communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience of mentoring less experienced Business Analysts, and coaching other in analysis techniques
  • An enthusiasm for the benefits that AI can bring both organisationally and in your role as a Business Analyst
