Job Description

This role suits someone minimum of 2-3 years into their BA career who wants to get deeper into digital commerce quickly.

You'll work alongside our Senior Business Analyst and consulting team, supporting commerce solution design and delivery across a range of clients and sectors. The discovery and BA methodology you'll be working within is something we're actively building out, with AI-assisted tooling at its core, so there's genuine scope to help shape how it works rather than just follow it.

The work covers pre-sales, discovery, requirements definition, and delivery support. You'll be on real client briefs where the BA input directly shapes what gets built.

What You’ll Do:

Support client discovery and workshops
: Assist in running discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops. Help gather and document requirements and build toward leading these independently over time.

Document and communicate clearly: Produce user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and feature value matrices that both technical and non-technical audiences can work from.

Define and structure scope: Break down briefs into clear deliverables, helping to shape project scope, timelines, and work breakdown structures alongside the senior BA.

Support pre-sales and estimation: Contribute to RFP responses and statements of work. Develop a feel for how BA input shapes what gets sold and delivered.

Work within the SQLI discovery framework: Use and contribute to SQLI's evolving discovery methodology, including AI-assisted tooling built to improve the speed and quality of discovery outputs.

Stay current on commerce and technology: Follow developments in eCommerce, personalisation, and AI, and bring that thinking into client conversations and internal practice development.

Connect teams: Help keep client stakeholders and technical delivery teams on the same page, supporting alignment across commercial, strategic, and delivery goals.

Qualifications

Starting out in digital or eCommerce: Around 2-5 years in a BA, product, or consulting role in a digital or eCommerce environment. You want a role where the work is varied and the learning curve is genuine.

Commercially curious: You understand that BA work is about value, not just requirements. You're developing a sense of how scope, budget, and business goals fit together.

Clear communicator: You can explain complex ideas simply, in writing and in conversation, to different types of audiences.

Detail-oriented and logical: Good at breaking problems into structured parts and following them through to clear outputs.

Interested in eCommerce and emerging technology: Curious about how modern commerce platforms work and how AI is changing discovery, personalisation, and commerce delivery.

Collaborative and adaptable: Comfortable in a small team where the work shifts and learning on the job is part of it.

Core eCommerce experience in at least one platform is essential; including;

  • Adobe Commerce / Magento
  • CommerceTools
  • Scayle
  • Shopify
  • BigCommerce
  • SAP Commerce / hybris
  • VTex
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud

  • FluentCommerce, OneStock (or similar OMS products)
  • Contentful, Acquia (or similar CMS Products)
  • Akeneo (or other similar PIM products)
  • Algolia, Athos Commerce/Klevu (or other similar product discovery products)
