About The Job
Reporting to the Finance BAU Change Lead, the Business Analysis and Release Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, design and execution of the Finance and Actuarial small change portfolio including understanding and assessing the changing needs of the business. Key objectives include supporting the business gathering business requirements, managing risks, resolving issues, and implementing changes effectively, when necessary to meet business outcomes. This includes managing the end-to-end delivery of any technical uplifts/changes, optimizing financial processes, and ensuring the adoption of system changes and new /changed processes The role serves as the key point of contact for stakeholders, maintaining communication and reporting progress throughout the change lifecycle.

Release Management
- Lead the management of the Finance & Actuarial small change portfolio by undertaking all aspects of delivery / release management from planning to delivery. Coordinating analysis & workshops, ensuring suitable design and testing and overall project discipline is adhered to
- Lead coordination and manage the Release plan across BAU change and other Finance Change projects managing the total scope for AUL releases.
- Control entry and exit gates for Release including recommendation for Go/No Go for Releases
- Act as a key point of contact between business stakeholders, Architecture, Data and IT teams, and other relevant parties
- Ensure suitable configuration management and single tool is established to drive releases
- Track and manage the overall Release user acceptance test execution including documentation of the Test Completion Report and obtain relevant sign offs from Senior Leaders / Product Owners.
- Circulate Release notes with available scope including any known caveats/issues
- Track and implement lessons learnt to continually improve the release process ensuring improvements identified are implemented and action owners are accountable.
- Identify and manage risks, dependencies, critical path, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans, where necessary
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to all relevant senior stakeholders
Business Analysis
- Elicit, analyse, and validate the needs of business stakeholders, customers or end users
- Design and optimise business processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs where aligned to small change portfolio for delivery, apply appropriate risk assessment and controls design for processes
- Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them by understanding business and functional requirements
- Update process and procedure documentation in line with changes implemented
- Support bridging the gap between business needs and technical and/or system solutions, ensuring optimal and efficient operation of businesses

What you’ll need:
For this particular role there are some important qualifications and experience we need you to have. These include:
- Experience in project management & business analysis with familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage
- Qualified accountant or actuarial qualification is desired but not essential, with experience working in Finance project delivery as a business analyst
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) is a plus but not essential
