Description

Hello, we’re Starling. We built a new kind of bank because we knew technology had the power to help people save, spend and manage their money in a new and transformative way. We’re a fully licensed UK bank with the culture and spirit of a fast-moving, disruptive tech company. We’re a bank, but better: fairer, easier to use and designed to demystify money for everyone. We employ more than 3,000 people across our London, Southampton, Cardiff and Manchester offices.

Expressing our brand meaningfully is pivotal to our mission and closely aligned to how we make banking easier. From our app copy to our T&Cs, our emails to our tube ads, our brand needs to feel consistent, engaging, jargon-free and above all, human.

Within the organisation, the Marketing team is Starling’s centre of creative excellence, and is responsible for building a high-impact, radically distinctive and culturally relevant brand that has the power to demonstrate our commitment to customers across TV, OOH, social, partnerships and more.  As a Brand Marketing Manager, you will work closely with our Head of Brand Integration to execute the brand strategy on owned, earned and paid channels in line with business goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage specific internal creative work streams, partnering with creatives, producers and strategists.
  • Drive communications ensuring creative objectives are well defined and appropriately executed.
  • Own the project management of campaign delivery for your projects, ensuring the plan is delivered on schedule.
  • Participate in weekly creative review and planning meetings, ensuring all channels are in the loop on campaigns and have their channel appropriately thought of and represented. You’ll be responsible for driving forward next steps and actions.
  • Work collaboratively with channel owners to understand opportunities and blockers.
Requirements
  • We are looking for a candidate who can work flexibly and fluidly, build trust with others, and see the big picture while keeping an eye on every detail.
  • 3+ years experience in a brand integration or campaign delivery role
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and inspire cross department teams to deliver high quality outputs
  • A strong understanding for brand marketing and passion for creativity and innovation
  • Demonstrated experience of working successfully in fast-paced environments with multifunctional groups, both internally and externally.
  • A proactive, ‘can do’ attitude, quick learner and can handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Financial sector experience is an advantage, although a passion for making banking better for customers is most important.
Benefits
  • 25 days holiday (plus take your public holiday allowance whenever works best for you)
  • An extra day’s holiday for your birthday
  • Annual leave is increased with length of service, and you can choose to buy or sell up to five extra days off
  • 16 hours paid volunteering time a year
  • Salary sacrifice, company enhanced pension scheme
  • Life insurance at 4x your salary
  • Private Medical Insurance with VitalityHealth including mental health support and cancer care. Partner benefits include discounts with Waitrose, Mr&Mrs Smith and Peloton
  • Generous family-friendly policies
  • Perkbox membership giving access to retail discounts, a wellness platform for physical and mental health, and weekly free and boosted perks
  • Access to initiatives like Cycle to Work and Salary Sacrificed Gym partnerships

What you need to know about the London Tech Scene

London isn't just a hub for established businesses; it's also a nursery for innovation. Boasting one of the most recognized fintech ecosystems in Europe, attracting billions in investments each year, London's success has made it a go-to destination for startups looking to make their mark. Top U.K. companies like Hoptin, Moneybox and Marshmallow have already made the city their base — yet fintech is just the beginning. From healthtech to renewable energy to cybersecurity and beyond, the city's startups are breaking new ground across a range of industries.
