Job Description

The Brand Manager is responsible for the delivery of brand plans within a category group that covers both Valeo-owned brands and retailer-owned brands. They are the leaders and steward of initiatives within the brands plans.

The Brand Manager is a strong performer in planning and executing initiatives within the brand plans along with a valued contributor to the shaping of the plans.

  • Hit or beat budget targets on the category group
  • Stewardship of initiatives within the brand plans
  • Monthly reporting on their initiatives (board-level standards)
  • Contribution to building a “Valeo Brand Building Framework” and ensure a consistent and excellent use
  • Contribution to the annual strategy review 
  • Leadership of the quarterly update on the initiatives
  • Marketing budget compliance and optimisation (Core marketing, ASOH, shopper marketing)
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Representation of brand externally esp. with retailers
  • Overseeing and inspiration of the “Consumer is Boss” plan (regular connections with the consumers)

  • Experience of the full marketing mix – from insight generation, problem-solving, target-setting, delivering and measuring
  • Experience in interacting successfully with board-level stakeholders and in collaborating widely with sales
  • Track record of creating change that shaped the thinking and deliver business results
  • Experience in NPD, Go-to-market, internal and external engagement around brand plans
