In the Digital Studio we leverage our ecosystem, connection to culture and ability to amplify the athlete mindset to craft powerful meaningful stories that inspire, enable and engage athletes. WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH 

You, a brilliant writer and strategic thinker will report directly into the Senior Manager, Digital Creative, London UK & Ireland, but you’ll also work day-to-day with your Brand Creative team including a designer + producer + social handle specialist to execute and deliver work aligned through the London UK & Ireland marketing team. 

 

You'll work very closely with other teams across our London UK & Ireland marketing organisation to ensure your copy brings the Nike TOV to life across key campaigns and touchpoints. For this, you will need to clearly communicate your ideas to various internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership. 

You’ll actively work across the Brand Creative network often collaborating with Global & EMEA Nike creatives, external agencies and partners to shape work that work aligns with our brand voice. 

 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

We are looking for a talented writer with a passion for sport, youth culture, creativity, and an ability to uncover stories that will inspire the next generation to move. You will know social inside and out, and are a brilliant copywriter and strategic thinker with an obsession for crafting compelling stories and ideas, you’ll be comfortable writing long form copy, captions, content scripts and campaign lines. As a creative keen to leverage that passion to reimagine the future of sport and make athletes’ dreams real, you will constantly be looking for creating, and sharing innovative, social first ideas, concepts and copy 

 

You will be open minded, forward thinking, and a willing collaborator, centred on creating best in class work.  

 

Essential requirements: 

  • Experience in a corporate or agency environment, preferably as a copywriter for a major retailer, e-commerce company or digital communications agency, 

  • Experience writing consumer-facing, creative, compelling marketing content, including digital communications (website copy, emails, social media, etc.) 

  • Expert command of the English languages (including spelling, grammar and punctuation) and UK & Ireland & British vernacular. 

  • Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands and changes. 

  • A clear passion for and understanding of London sport & youth culture 

  • Proven experience collaborating effectively with multiple functions, both within and outside of the creative discipline. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON 

The purpose of the Brand Creative Digital Studio is to fuel our wider Nike ecosystem with brilliant creative. You will be working on marketing and creative briefs that deliver against our Nike offense. With a focus on powering our NikeLondon social and digital ecosystem, you’ll also work with our EMEA and Global partners to fuel them with industry leading ideas and stories.  

 

Your copy will be read by millions of consumers and athletes across the City & EMEA geo, so it will need to align with the Nike Brand Voice, in-house style guides and seasonal directives. 

  • You will primarily obsess our @nikeLondon channel, writing copy that brings our Nike offense to life through a London youth culture & sport lens.  

  • Depending on London UK & Ireland marketing plans you may step in to craft copy other key marketing output, including city moment campaigns such as product launches, partnerships and community opportunities or pinnacle seasonal work like the Euros, World Cup, Olympics. 

  • With the support of the Senior Manager you’ll be the one ensuring we speak with an authentic Nike Voice to our consumer in all communications. You'll communicate and present copy to team leaders. You'll actively gain knowledge and experience regarding Nike's philosophy, products and trends, as well as the consumer and overall marketplace culture.
