Brand and content marketing manager

Small businesses move fast. Opportunities often don’t wait, and cash flow pressures can appear overnight. To keep going, and growing, SMEs need finance that’s as flexible and responsive as they are.

That's why we built iwoca. Our smart technology, data science and five-star customer service ensures business owners can act with the speed, confidence and control they need, exactly when it's needed.

We’ve already cleared the way for 100,000 businesses with more than £4 billion in funding. Our passionate team is driven to help even more SMEs succeed, through access to better finance and other services that make running a business easier. Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive.

We’re looking for a brand and content marketing manager to help us strengthen our position as the leading business finance provider for small businesses in the UK.

This role will be central to how we build awareness and demand at the top of the funnel. You’ll lead the creation of multimedia campaigns and compelling customer stories that increase brand awareness, build authority and ultimately help to fuel acquisition across the business.

You will be responsible for:

Creating and managing top-of-funnel campaigns

You’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of top-of-funnel brand and content marketing campaigns. You’ll collaborate with the Head of Brand on campaign ideas and creative concepts with the Head of Brand, then own the end-to-end process of turning those ideas into high-impact multimedia content and getting it in front of the right audiences.

Bringing our customer stories to life

We want our customers to help us tell our story in a variety of ways, from short snippets, to cinematic video, and long-form editorial. You’ll build our customer advocacy engine, making success stories a central pillar of our brand. You’ll be responsible for building a robust customer pipeline, creating compelling narrative arcs, and learning the best ways to bring our customers’ defining moments to life.

Getting hands-on with content

While you’ll collaborate with internal and external creators, you’ll be the one who ensures the work hits the mark, obsessing over the editorial craft of a headline or the narrative structure of a video to ensure our brand voice is unmistakable.

Experimenting with formats and channels

You’ll test different types of content and distribution tactics to discover what creates the most impact. You’ll share findings with the wider company to influence our wider customer acquisition strategy.

Requirements

Essential:

  • A love of storytelling and a passion for creating engaging content, from short-form to long-form.

  • Strong writing skills

  • A track record of shaping creative concepts into high-impact assets across a variety of formats, including long- and short-form written and video.

  • Experience building and executing top-of-funnel marketing campaigns that strengthen brand awareness, reputation and authority.

  • Ability to identify trends and use insights to help us inform long-term content strategy and decision-making

  • Confidence in reaching out to business owners and strong intuition needed to encourage participation in our customer advocacy program

  • Comfortable working at pace, prioritising effectively, and getting high-quality work out the door.

  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines, and stakeholders

Preferred:

  • Experience creating content targeted at small businesses

  • Basic experience with video, audio, or graphic design tools such as figma

  • Strong understanding of brand positioning and maintaining brand consistency across channels
