YOUR ROLE @CHANEL: 

The Boutique Director of CHANEL Harrods will be a progressive, agile, collaborative, and inspirational leader, who sets the vision for their team and their business and is ultimately responsible for driving the commercial success of CHANEL within Harrods, reporting effectively to CHANEL leadership and Harrods stakeholders. 

With a deep understanding of luxury and fashion and a strategic foresight you will align business priorities with the wider global fashion strategy delivering the CHANEL difference within the context of One Boutique One Story’ and with a ‘One House’ mindset. 

Leading three fashion boutiques (with the addition of a significant Watch & Fine Jewellery business and a Chanel & Moi aftersales salon) with a team of 100+ employees, the business has a complexity that requires structure, forward planning, clear direction and decision making. 

The successful candidate will provide courageous leadership and be the driving motivational force behind the team performance and development. Leading a team with a client centric and service mindset. 

As an ambassador for CHANEL the Boutique Director builds strong client relationships and develops client strategies to guarantee an exceptional client experience and engagement. 

WHAT IMPACT YOU CAN CREATE AT CHANEL: 

Leadership and Business Development 

  • Envision the future, prioritising and setting long term goals and priorities to drive results. Leveraging extensive market knowledge to anticipate future trends and opportunities. 

  • Inspire and influence the team to understand and appreciate CHANEL’s fashion fundamentals, ensuring coherence in priorities and fostering team commitment to consistently uphold and display CHANEL’s values and behaviours. 

  • Build and maintain fruitful relationships across CHANEL and Harrods stakeholders. Leverage the relationship with Harrods Private Suite and Personal Shopping to enhance the collective client journey and experience.  

Brand Ambassador 

  • With a strong knowledge of the luxury market and an advanced fashion sensibility ensure the correct balance within the buying strategy and product assortment of image, creation and commerciality.  

  • Drive brand equity and desirability with an emphasis on Luxury, Craftmanship and Arts and culture.  

  • Be the ambassador for CHANEL Harrods, developing long term authentic client relationships, building client loyalty and ensuring moments of wonder and an exceptional client experience. 

Team Performance and Development 

  • Create a psychologically safe environment for the team to grow and thrive.  Encourage innovative solutions and a collaborative mindset across a multi-expertise team. 

  • Empower, strengthen and develop the Management Team to run their departments efficiently with clear collaboration and communication creating a one team ethos with maximum agility and flexibility across the three boutiques. Effectively managing resources and sustaining energy and motivation in fluctuating contexts. 

  • Ensure the wider management team are commercially strong, communicating and understanding clear business priorities and translating these through concrete action plans and retail excellence. 

  • Recognise and nurture talent and anticipate future capability needs. Elevate individual and collective performance through coaching, training and fostering a growth mindset.
