The Bordereaux Data and Analytics Manager is responsible for the efficient management and oversight of Chaucer Syndicate Limited (CSL) and Chaucer Insurance Company (CIC) Bordereaux Management and reporting, specifically Data Quality and Analytics, for Risk, Premium and Claims submissions and processing. This role supports the divisional underwriting and claims teams as well as multiple other stakeholders around the business who are customers of bordereaux data.

Building and maintaining robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is crucial to support the wider DA Oversight function. The position demands advanced organisational, communication, and analytical abilities, comprehensive knowledge of Lloyd’s and London Market regulations.

Job Description

  • Manage and support the delivery of a first-class bordereaux ingestion service ensuring the business has the necessary data to allow for stakeholders to report consistently and accurately on Delegated business.

  • Establishment and oversight of a quality control framework to confirm the accuracy of bordereaux mappings at the outset and throughout the entire contract and run‑off lifecycle.

  • Oversight of the bordereaux exception process, including the use of analytical tools to design and apply additional breach rules to identify non‑compliance with the binding authority agreement.

  • Supporting the Head of Delegated Operations and Controls in reviewing and implementing departmental procedures and controls.

  • Support and provide guidance to Underwriting and Claims teams on data quality issues.

  • Support onboarding processes for new Coverholders and DCAs.

  • Support annual compliance and oversight of all Coverholders and DCAs.

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with delegated business through bordereaux data quality,

  • Act as a key contact for Coverholders, brokers, and internal teams.

  • Contribute to strategic updates and operational improvements.

  • Represent Chaucer, as appropriate, on market forums.

  • KPI Reporting.

  • Provide training on the Delegated Authority function where required.

  • Providing SME support to assist in the development of team members.

  • Produce papers for committee reporting,

Regulatory Responsibilities

  • To have a clear understanding of regulatory requirements in terms of Delegated Authority, Conduct (including Consumer Duty), Compliance and Financial Crime.

Technical Skills and Competencies

  • Relevant Lloyd’s / London Market experience

  • Proven experience of Bordereaux Analytics and Data Quality

  • Ability to interpret data to make informed decisions and spot areas of improvement

  • Experience in delivering SLA through performance management

  • Data accuracy

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent Microsoft skills – Word, Excel & PowerPoint

  • Excellent organisational / time management skills

  • Knowledge and experience of DCOM
